Cabin holiday rentals in Big Bear

We were in town for a wedding at the Shay Meadow Ranch and Resort. This was just far enough to be peaceful and quiet, but also close enough to walk the distance in ten minutes. The cabin feels big and our younger guests loved the video game console. There is a nice hot tub. When I saw the Puffs Plus tissue I knew, these guys are all about high quality. Went to get a knife and cutting board, again, high quality! Big fridge. Plenty of seating and a nice breakfast nook area. While I do enjoy wood fires, I also enjoyed not having to deal with ashes with the gas - easy on, easy off - fireplace. The main bathroom is huge and the master bathroom with a shower was great for us guys - the girls took over the main bathroom. Overall this is a great cabin for families, friends or a nice time with your significant other.

Jenn and Matt’s place is perfect for a quaint and cozy getaway. It’s a short drive to the lake and shops, but also removed enough to feel private and peaceful. The home is very calming— between the fireplace, hammock and hot tub, there are plenty of ways to relax 😊 We were looking for a way to disconnect from life in LA, and this was the perfect place! Thank you!

Loved our time at the Happy Fox Retreat! Our hosts, Leanne and Dan, were extremely responsive and friendly. When the power in the whole valley was shut off (by the city) due to the winds, Dan called us to check in on us, which was such a nice thing to do! The cabin was super cute, clean, and just perfect for us. The spa was amazing, the record collection had some of our favorites (Eagles greatest hits…The Beatles!) and the projector and sound system were the icing on the cake. We can’t wait to go back! Thanks Leanne and Dan! Your attention to details and kindness made our anniversary get away super memorable and perfect! Highly recommend! It won’t disappoint!

The perfect Airbnb! The highlight is the yard. Great fenced in yard for dogs, hot tub was easy to use and was super clean, hammocks were amazing to lounge back and you really feel the private space despite being on a pretty tight street. Appears to be a hiking trail at the end of the road. Easy drive to the village and the lake. Great modern amenities (like AC:Heater) but with the old school cabin charm. We will definitely be booking this again!

What a wonderful place to celebrate my 70th birthday with my whole family and 2 grand babies. There was plenty of room for us all and we loved being right near the lake. Loved how close it was to the village and also that it was in a quiet neighborhood. We are foodies so loved the well stocked kitchen. Also very helpful that they had a high chair and pack and play available. Really friendly and communicative hosts!

We had such a beautiful stay! Kaitlyn is super responsive and a thoughtful host. The home is thoughtfully decorated, the beds were super comfortable, and the view was peaceful and serene. The location was perfect — close enough to everything we needed, but tucked away just enough to feel like a true escape from our typical LA hustle. We especially loved grilling dinner and relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. A perfect weekend getaway spot!

We would love to come back! The cabin was exactly as described - our 16.5 month old son loved walking around in the fenced yard. We loved that the interior was practically baby proof, had a high chair and many details that we could see had been thought about thoroughly. The kitchen and living room were spacious, and our son loved playing with the bath toys. It's great value as the main big bear area was only 14 minutes drive away. The cabin was also easy to find and very clean.

This was a great place to stay in big bear. It wasn’t too far from the town and only a 10 minute drive to Snow Summit where we had our race. For 7 people, it might be kind of small with only 1 shower, but we made it work. It was nice and cozy. The heater was good and the water was nice and hot. I liked how there was a chess board outside which was really cool. Note: When we arrived, the place wasn’t cleaned up. We notified our host immediately and she got back to us with a solution that resolved our issues. The cleaning lady came by and cleaned it up well, our host gave us a partial refund with the cleaning fee, and an extra night stay which helped us after our race.

Everything was great! We loved spending time on the deck, with the hot tub and grill and table. The bedroom was comfy. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials including coffee and spices. We would definitely stay here again.

Quiet location. VERY close to hiking trails. Fully fenced in yard made it desirable to bring our pup and keep him safely contained. Clean, relaxing, peaceful. House has great outdoor space with grill, fire pit, hammock, table, enclosed front deck (great in afternoon) and lots of trees on property. Felt very private and safe even though there are houses on adjacent lots. Dena was very proactive with instructions and thought of everything to make you feel at home (including iPhone chargers next to bed). I did not need to reach out at all during stay but have no doubt Dena would respond quickly to remedy any unforeseen issues. Hope to come back and enjoy the space and Big Bear again soon! Weekend getaway with my wife was thoroughly enjoyed with the backdrop of beautiful trees and the fresh air breeze. Only complaint the floor had a layer of dirt and the furniture had noticeable animal hair which had me using my lint roller all weekend. Its a minor complaint as we were out and about all weekend but I know for some it would be a major compliment especially some with certain dander and pet allergies

Had a great time staying at Kris’s cabin!! Super comfortable and cozy place to stay in a great neighborhood. We really enjoyed the proximity to everything. Great kitchen and back patio to cook and hangout in the mountains! The wildflowers were in bloom and all over the cabin. We will be back!

Chase’s cabin was perfect for our family getaway! The kids were thrilled with the toys and bunk beds, and we loved how fully stocked the kitchen and coffee bar were—so thoughtful! Twinkle lights, a cozy fire pit, and that backyard view 😍 made evenings magical. Communication was excellent from start to finish, and the location was ideal—just a quick, easy drive to Big Bear and the heart of town. This cabin had everything we needed (and more) to relax and enjoy every minute. Highly recommend!

I brought my girlfriend out here for her birthday! We loved the place it was great. It was not too far from restaurants and stores. Big bear Lake and other trails are in a few miles away! Very quiet and relaxing environment! Will definitely be recommending!

I had an amazing time at Ben's cabin! It was very quiet and nestled in the woods. It had all the amenities of home and a great place to come back to after going out to town and doing activities around the lake. There was so much room to spread out and the couches and beds were extremely comfortable, which made decompressing easy. I would definitely stay again.

The "cabin" itself was the perfect size: cute, spacious and clean. I liked that it was at the end of a road, so very peaceful. Maricela was incredible and had a package sent to the house with bath salts, slippers and a face mask--because she knew I was doing a long race! She went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Great spot for a couple or single looking for some quiet time. Thank you!
