There are so many wonderful things to say about this very special place. The house is magical! It is far more beautiful and charming in real life. There were so many different places to go, to be together, or to be separate, to chat, or to read or work. The furnishings are lovely and comfortable. And the art selection is fantastic. It was warm and sunny, and when it rained, we could hear the rain on the roof. The place was very quiet and the location is perfect to do all the things anyone would want to do in Bergen. And an outstanding kitchen! Sharp knives are rare in these places and we loved the ones here. Ingvild was a lovely and generous hostess. We look forward to returning, and to spend much more time here.

A beautiful and quaint home with a lot of room. Lovely view, very nice neighborhood and a short walk to everything. Pia was a fantastic host.

It felt like a second home! The house has pretty much everything you need, including a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine (having a toddler with us, this was especially helpful). Everything else is within walking distance (5-15 min) or reachable by bus (the bus stops basically outside of to house on a nearby road). This is both and minus and plus - because the traffic can get quite noisy at times. Other than that I can’t recommend a stay here enough.

Old house with the character of Bergen. Great location, easy walking into centre and restaurants. Good parking for car, all amenities in house you’ll need. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Can highly recommend.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön gelegen, nicht weit vom Fischmarkt und Bryggen entfernt. Das Haus ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Das Schlafzimmer ist im Erdgeschoss und das Bett ist sehr bequem. Im ersten Geschoss gibt es Küche. Dort findet man alles, was man braucht. Es sind nicht nur Besteck, Teller, Töpfe, Kaffeemaschine vorhanden sondern es sind auch Tee, Öl , Gewürze, Chips, Kerzen und viel weiteres dabei. Im zweiten Obergeschoss gibt es Sofa und Fernsehecke. Die Treppen sind steil. Uns hat das nicht gestört. In der Wohnung gibt es auch Waschmaschine mit Trockner und Bügeleisen, wofür wir auch sehr dankbar waren. Das Check-in war mit den allen Informationen von Magnus unkompliziert und die Heizung war schon an als wir angekommen sind, so dass in dem Haus schon schön kuschelig warm war. Wir haben uns sehr wohl dort gefühlt und hatten echt eine tolle Zeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Lieben Dank

Thank you Arve and Lydia for a lovely stay. The apartment was beautifully presented, clean and spacious with gorgeous setting. It had everything we needed and more. East bus route straight into the centre of Bergen where we enjoyed a walking tour of Bryggen, the funicular railway to Moyen and a fjord experience. It was a perfect few days. Thank you.

Unser Aufenthalt war sehr gut. Trine war sehr zuvorkommend, was das frühere Check In betrifft und wir bekamen auch die Möglichkeit, unsere Koffer noch zu deponieren nach Check-Out. Das Appartment war sauber und herzig eingerichtet. Das Badezimmer ist sehr einfach gehalten, aber alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden. Die Lage war super zentral, 5min bis zum Fisketorget 😊

When I first booked Jon Olav’s apartment, I was worried that maybe its location is too far from “the action.” What a mistake. It is hard to believe that there could be a more desirable location for tourists than the Nøstet neighborhood in which this home resides. Home facades as colorful as any in Bergen nestled along a fun labyrinth of narrow cobble-stoned alleys. Almost no bustle of shoppers, other tourists, bargoers, rowdy students, or car/truck traffic passing through. Yet the hilltop and architecture views, intimate boutiques, shopping malls, Fløyen, museums, restaurants, music venues, even the university – all are within 10-15 minutes walk. The apartment has an optimally efficient layout and very modern appliances. The kitchen was clearly outfitted by a cooking enthusiast. Knives were sharp, pots/pans were high quality and there were plenty of food storage containers. Truly one of the best AirBnB layouts and locations my husband and I have ever experienced.

The place was decorated beautifully. The bathroom was one of the nicest ones we have seen. The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with supplies. There was plenty of space for a family of 4. We loved having a grocery store right outside the unit. Everything seems to be within a 5-10 minute walking distance. The host was kind and very responsive. I would recommend staying here.

The place is perfectly located and is exactly as described :) A great place to stay in Bergen!

Lovely flat with everything you need for a stay in Bergen. You can walk to all the attractions, restaurants, etc. easily. Our favourite place to eat was cafe Spesial which is only about 5 minutes walk away. If you have a car I recommend you park in bysgarasjen (which Torry and Rene suggested to us) first before you go to the flat with the bags. It’s an easy 5 minutes walk and much more complicated to drive with lots of one way roads and roadworks in the centre of town.

Veldig fornøyd med oppholdet. Simen var behjelpelig med tidlig innsjekking og utstyr som vi trengte til baby. Fin og ryddig leilighet sentralt i Bergen med kort avstand til sentrum. Kan anbefale stedet til alle som vil oppleve Bergen.

Great apartment with fab views. Balcony was a great way to relax and enjoy the view. Helga was very quick to answer any questions we had and provided helpful advice.

We had a wonderful stay at Hege’s apartment. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable, clean and well organised. We had everything we needed and much more. The location is great- being so close to all the attractions. Great choices for food options as well. Above all, a very helpful and attentive host! All added up to a wonderful stay for us in Bergen

Sindre’s place was an amazing base for our Bergen adventure! The apartment is beautiful and cozy with an amazing view. It is, as advertised, quite a hike to get up to the apartment without the funicular, but it’s well worth it. Sindre was kind and helpful with all our requests. We would love to stay here again! Vi bodde en natt i den superkoselige leiligheten. Stedet var lite, men meget praktisk innredet og hadde alt og mere til. Pluss for det ekstra koselige nabolaget.

Mr. Simon is a great host, very thoughtful!!! We noticed he prepared lots of travel essentials that you might packed or forgot. And he even let us check out very late since we have evening flight. The house is big enough for family of 5 or more, clean and organized!!! Two grocery stores nearby, good location to anywhere. I would definitely recommend his house to everyone who wants to have a great stay in Bergen!!!

Christen is unlike any other host. He met me at the bus stop and helped me with the luggage. He has a handwritten book of recommendations on where to eat and what to do, along with helpful instructions for the stay. He had left a bottle of wine, and cookies and coffee for me, which was very thoughtful. The place is super walkable to the city centre and the tour/airport bus stops. While central, it’s also tucked away from all the city centre madness and thereby offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay after a busy day of exploring the beauty of Norway. Christen was very friendly, flexible and welcoming. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a central place to stay in Bergen (as long as they don’t mind climbing up a few flight of stairs). Thanks for the lovely time in Bergen, Christen! Hope to stay here again when my travels bring me back to the incredibly beautiful city of Bergen. :) Cheers!

My husband and I spent two nights in Gloria’s flat! Gloria was a great and responsive host. The location is very accessible and feels calm and quiet most of the time! There was one party across the street Friday night, but it was not a big problem for us. The rest of the neighbors were quiet. We went to a Norwegian restaurant across the street that was delicious and convenient! Walking into the city was easy too. The flat itself was cozy, relaxed but clean, and well-stocked with soaps, laundry detergent, blankets, towels, a space heater, and other amenities that made us feel right at home. The beds were comfortable, a little firm but still good. I highly recommend staying in Gloria’s Air BnB and would definitely stay here again!
