Castle holiday rentals in Bay of Biscay

A fantastic family chateau that accommodated 3 families comfortably, and even nicer in real life than in the photos. Large well kept grounds and loads of space to explore. There is plenty to do in the local area. Basic amenities within a few minutes' drive including a great riverside bistro in Daon, the nearby large town of Chateau-Gontier is 15 mins away while Angers is around 40 mins away for everything a city provides. Highly recommended!

The best house I've ever been. Clean, impressive , ideal for large groups , large spaces, very well equipped, stately decor, the stone and wonderful wood staircase. The owner Pascal is very friendly and easy. The touch of Beinvenida is much appreciated. The area and location are great for nature walks and enjoy the peace of mind. The cornbread and croassants of the village's pastry shop, beysay.

The tower is such a special place, truly memorable - like nowhere we’ve ever stayed before. Beautiful views - the best in St Martin - with unique architecture and a peaceful garden that made us feel we were in the countryside despite being in the heart of the town. And Alain was a great host, friendly and welcoming - and with an amazing atelier! We hope we can return very soon.

We had a great time with the family in an exceptional environment. We particularly enjoyed the view of the golf course and the easy access to the coastal path. The house is very large and allowed everyone to have a nice space to sleep in.

Very welcoming host. Great communication and kind little treats on arrival. The property is outstanding, decorated with great taste and very French! It is exceptional. It is a peaceful and elegant property with superb beaches 10mn away. We loved our holiday ( teens and grand Ma loved it too!)

Perfect stay, everything matches the listing photos and description. The castle is very well suited for a group of friends of 12 people! The best of the accommodation : the two stoves with wood provided, board games and raclette sets to have a good time. I would highly recommend it !

We had wonderful days here with our 2 kids. Monique is very friendly, open and inspiring woman. We really enjoyed the space around the chateau, the river, the garden, the history you can sense. Great base to take trips to the ocean and Bordeaux.

Our stay in the small castle in the Loire Valley with two Dutch families was nothing short of great. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and there was a lovely welcome basket full of local products. This gesture was the start of an unforgettable vacation. The accommodation itself was magnificent. Classic details, an up-to-date kitchen and the castle was neatly clean. We enjoyed the beautiful weather and the large pool. The quiet environment and the beautiful views contributed to a feeling of complete relaxation. One of the highlights of our stay was the dinner that was specially prepared for us. We have enjoyed a culinary feat in the beautiful dining room, an experience that really made us feel like a dinner on stand. In addition, we were able to enjoy the delicious regional wines during our stay. All in all, a stay to recommend.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay! Alice’s Chateau was the perfect place to stay with family. The house and the surrounding gardens are beautifully presented with fully stocked amenities. I highly recommend Chateau du Grava!

We enjoyed our stay in the castle. Stefan is attentive, good communication with him, he is very responsive. The cottage is well equipped, we had a good time at the pool which is clean, with a shower and toilet (which is very convenient). We even had a guided tour at the castle. We highly recommend!

The apartment was great, wonderfully spacious and equipped with every comfort. We had good weather, so could also sit wonderfully in the large garden. Shower and beds were very good. It's nice to be able to listen to some music and play pool in the evening. Easy to get to Nantes by bike during the day.

Great accommodation, spectacular views. Heated floor that makes you not go cold, a very intimate apartment and is ideal for a couple retreat. Also the owners are very friendly and helpful, thank you☺️

We stayed two nights. It went very well. The check-in time is flexible and despite the late check-in time, Branka waited for us in order to receive us. Branka is very attentive and always available and attentive. Breakfast is perfect. There's nothing missing. Salty, sweet with fresh produce. Nothing else to say.

We booked last minute and André was very responsive. Booking made the night before for the next day… The farmhouse is just fantastic and tastefully renovated! Very quiet and yet in the city center with all amenities nearby. For bargain hunters, you can buy objects or paintings from our host Gaëlle! Best of all, there is a hot tub in the century-old park! It was great to take a relaxing break under the stars in early November! For music lovers, there is all the necessary equipment with vinyls, CDs or for movie lovers DVDs or Netflix…. It's really an exceptional rental in the area! The welcome we received was also very pleasant as was the departure. We'll happily come back to André and Gaelle's! Dalila, Chloé and Éric

Wonderful stay in the beautiful King suite that Château de la Bainerie!! The castle life was at the rendezvous …. The size of the bedroom and bathroom , the brightness with three large bays , bedding …. Everything was spotless . As soon as you arrive, you feel at home ... at the castle!! Our host is very discreet and always there when you need to . I recommend it. For a very nice weekend experience ….

We had a lovely stay at this authentic Chateau de la Bainerie. Check-in is self-contained and easy; many rooms are open to discover the castle. This one being quite huge the cost of maintenance is I imagine high, so we are happy to have been able to participate humbly with this unusual stay.
