Holiday houses in Bates County

We have stayed at the lake before in another of Sue's cabins. This time, we were closer to another cabin but had no noise issues. Everything still felt very private and serene. We had beautiful mornings with the sun glistening off the water right outside our front door. Our trip was interrupted due to an impending ice and snowstorm. Sue was very kind to allow us to adjust our departure date. Definitely will continue to stay at the cabins for my trips home.

Michelle’s place (White Oak Mountain Inn) is excellent. This is the second time we have stayed there and plan to stay a lot more as it is close to our kids/grandkids. Michelle and Lori are extremely prompt about answering any questions or concerns. The place is clean and comfortable. We really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay!!

This place was amazing! We felt right at home. The amenities of what a person might want or need were all there, from the kitchen to the bathroom. I would choose this place again - over and over again!

Such a serene setting and Melanie did an amazing job updating this air bnb! It is so beautifully done and in pristine condition, but still has the 70’s facade which I loved! The bed and couches were very comfortable and I don’t know when I’ve slept that well last! The area is also very peaceful and serene. Melanie was so quick to respond and answer questions. I enjoyed learning about the history they have in the area, about their farm, and more in the binder Melanie has to welcome you. I hope to stay here again in the spring when I travel next!

Lori’s place was very clean and nice! It is in a beautiful area. She was very responsive when we asked questions. We will definitely be back!

This place was so much more than what we asked for. The camping spot was an amazing size and the sun shone through the trees. It was so beautiful The animals were the biggest attraction. It is so amazing what these folks are doing to for these animals. They were so informative of native plants and trees and the history of their sanctuary, we had such a great time learning about the animals and feeding the animals snacks. This place was so amazing. I don’t think we could get enough of it. We’re already planning our next trip thank you Cheryl and and Laine for your hospitality and taking time out of your day to inform us of your beautiful animals for your sanctuary. Thanks again.

Enjoyed my stay. Host was friendly and helpful. There was an issue with the dryer but there was good communication on when it would be fixed.

Really enjoyed staying here. The location was great for our purposes and the country setting was peaceful. Very nice.
