Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Barry County

Our family had a great time staying at the lake. Kids swam and caught lots of fish from the dock. Lucas recommendation on a boat rental was affordable and close to the house. The overall location was easy to get to and close enough to stores. We drove to Saugatuck and checked out Oval beach only an hour away. We didn't stay over a weekend but the boat traffic during our stay was minimal. Plenty of spots to go out and fish or swim without boats flying past you. Neighbors were friendly and our kids made friends a couple doors down to play around in the water with. Pros: Convenient location Responsive host Plenty of seating and bedding Easy water access Shallow enough to stand right at the dock Equipped kitchen with everything needed Lots of outdoor seating Cons: Bathroom setup not ideal but manageable Yard could use some maintenance - some poison ivy by walkways Lights flicker with multiple things running. Overall would stay again!

Wonderful long weekend getaway in a remote location but close enough to city amenities if you wanted to venture out. Would highly recommend for any trip you want to get out and enjoy unplugging for your time there and enjoy the company you are with

We had a great stay. The lake and surrounding area is beautiful. Kitchen had everything we needed to make some quick meals. Bathrooms, kitchen and bedrooms were all very clean. Danielle was very quick to respond whenever I messaged with a question.

Our family had an awesome time on our vacation! Exactly as advertised! Very quiet and peaceful surroundings. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within 15 to 30 minutes drive. I highly recommend this cottage, and if ever in the area again will stay.

This was a great AirBnB. Recommended. Excellent location with nice frontage. Very good fishing from the dock for young kids and adults alike. They did a great job with the house--the common areas are spacious and the bedrooms are private. Everything works and was very clean. The screened in porch/sunroom area is awesome. Boats were in good shape! Great spot for a family getaway. Like most lake properties in Michigan, the frontage area is visible to neighbors. Fortunately, everyone was extremely nice and very quiet. Evenings were relaxing, and it felt private. Definitely a family lake area, and not a party spot. As noted in the listing, there is only one bathroom in the main house, and the bathroom in the separate laundry area is unfinished. The other item to note is that this is not a particularly great spot in the lake to swim--fairly weedy and muddy. The sandy beach in town is only a short drive away, however. Host was very proactive and responsive.

We had an amazing stay at this lakeside camper! It’s in a perfect spot within the campground— beautiful and peaceful, and easy to get to. The deck overlooking the water was my favorite place to relax with a morning coffee! The gorgeous camper was clean and comfortable, with flexible options to accommodate our needs!! You can tell a lot of care has gone into setting it up to feel like a little getaway. Whether you’re into swimming, fishing, or just enjoying nature, this spot is a hidden gem. Our kids LOVED the unique beds in the camper and playing on the beach!! We will absolutely be back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing stay!

Loved staying at The Bluegill, the house was great, the lakefront was amazing and the surrounding area was beautiful. Would highly recommend to others!

Wonderful house on the lake for a larger group! Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Lots of room to park if needed. William was responsive and helpful with any questions we had during our stay as well.

Everything was perfectly as described! What a beautiful home away from home. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was divine, and the kitchen was chef friendly! Plenty of counter tops and a gas stove (that was a plus!) I wish I could have stayed longer. Close to grocery markets and restaurants as well as a park. Beautiful neighborhood. Very safe.

By far the best experience I have had at an Airbnb, Amy was an awesome host could not have been more accomodating , highly recommend this location.

We had a great stay! The home had all the comforts of home and the right kitchen tools we needed to make a couple of meals including a BBQ.

Second time staying at one of Bills properties. Both properties I have stayed at are in a good location, clean, and right in downtown Lake Odessa. Will book again in the future if I am in the area.
