Casa Morriña. House on the river in Ribeira Sacra

Morriña is a recently renovated house (2019) on the banks of the Miño River, where the water ‘crashes’ against the house’s veranda. It has two exterior bedrooms, each with its own ensuite, and a spacious living room with a fireplace and a veranda overlooking the river on the upper floor. A kitchen with a dining area and a toilet, with access to the courtyard and the veranda, on the ground floor. A great deal of attention has been paid to lighting and comfort. PLEASE NOTE: If you book just one night, there is a surcharge of €50.

CASA DO BARQUEIRO is a complex of 3 accommodations in the heart of Ribeiro, a privileged enclave on the Castrelo de Miño reservoir. Surrounded by vineyards, wineries and hot springs. A newly restored 1880 stone house, creating a unique and organic design between its stone walls and its roof with large wooden beams. It stands out for its fantastic views of the Castrelo de Miño reservoir. It is located in the heart of Ribeiro, 2 km from Ribadavia. The Prexigueiro Thermal Spa is 10 minutes away, and there are also several hiking trails. Nearby wineries offer guided tours. Ourense is 28 km away, Vigo airport is 67 km away, and Santiago airport is 120 km away.

Stone house: wine with books, dogs and routes

The "caseiros" — the family that took care of the farm where our organic wine is currently grown — lived in this house. Restored in 2013, the old kitchen space with its "lareira", oven and stone sink was preserved, now a cool space to read, play or take a nap. The two open floors overlook the Miño River valley, which separates us from Portugal. Upstairs, to sleep or read; downstairs, where the animals used to be, to cook or go out to the small garden.

Coenga Chapel

Old chapel restored as a home in one of the most emblematic estates for making Ribeiro wine. The first mentions of the Compostelana chapter property in the vicinity of Ribadavia date back to the end of the 12th century. The chapel dedicated to Santiago, along with the manor house, belonged to the Cabildo De Santiago, which personally exploited it due to its wealth in the production of the highly valued Ribeiro wine.
