Holiday rentals with lake access in Barlavento Algarvio

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette Vale do Rei. Au calme, loin du tumulte de l’Algarve, au milieu des eucalyptus et des terres que Christiane cultive avec amour. Le logement est parfait (encore mieux que sur les photos et bien plus grand qu’il n’y paraît). Très bien équipé, frais et subtilement décoré. La literie est confortable. Adapté aux enfants (nous étions là avec notre fille de 4 ans). Les lieux communs améliorent encore l’expérience. Une voiture est indispensable ; néanmoins, vous trouverez tout le nécessaire à 10min, dans le village situé en bas de la vallée. Christiane est d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité infinies. Son sens du détail et sa chaleur nous font sentir comme des amis de la famille. Encore un immense merci pour tout.

Comfortable, well decorated home with all amenities we could need! On a very quiet road, with sea and sunset views from the upstairs balcony. Sarah/Anne were very easily to communicate with. Walkable to a couple of restaurants (Manuel’s on the roundabout is excellent!) but a car needed for other restaurants. Monte Clerigo beach nearby is brilliant for families, with a wonderful cafe on the beach and lots of parking. Take mosquito spray for evenings and nights!

Een heel aangenaam verblijf in the middle of nowhere. Als voordeel biedt dit ontzettend veel rust. Als nadeel moet je naar een winkel of strand minstens een half uur rijden. Wij kiezen ervoor om in de toekomst nogmaals terug te keren naar dit huisje. Wij waren daar buiten het seizoen eind mei. Prachtig weer en amper volk op de camping. Het huisje ligt ook afgelegen van de camping wat ideaal is om volledig privé te zitten. Prachtige omgeving, prachtige stranden, prachtige natuur. We zijn verliefd op de streek geworden en vonden het jammer dat we maar 10dagen gebleven zijn. Doordat we buiten toeristenseizoen er waren, waren ook de stranden en de kustdorpjes verlaten. Heerlijk!

Excelente sítio para descansar e relaxar . Calmo, sons muito bonitos de pássaros e e outros animais. Casa confortável, divisões grandes e muito bem equipada .

A estadia foi ótima! A casa está muito bem cuidada e decorada, a zona é de uma enorme tranquilidade. As fotografias correspondem exatamente ao espaço - o jardim até é mais agradável ao vivo! A única “questão”, e é uma questão de subjetividade, é não existirem estores nem blackouts nos quartos, o que faz com que a luz entre muito cedo nas divisões. Sentimo-nos muito bem e recomendamos!

This place was so cute and in a really great location. Taxis were easy to get, restaurants and supermarkets were close, and there was a beautiful walk along the water. Highly recommend!

Casa decorada com bom gosto. Cozinha equipada e espaçosa. Pátio exterior perfeito para refeições ao ar livre. O único defeito que posso apontar é a limpeza da piscina, que estava cheia de areia

Nossa estadia foi ótima , fomos muito bem recebidos pelo Simon e pela Francisca que são muito simpáticos e atenciosos. Nossos cães amaram o quintal que é todo cercado, uma casa ótima para toda a família. Francisca nos deu excelentes indicações para caminhar com nossos cães na região. A casa tem uma vista para o lago , que é espetacular para ver o nascer do sol.

Die Lage der Wohnung ist außerordentlich, man ist direkt nach ein paar Schritten am endlos langen Strand und ein tolles Café am Strand ist ebenfalls nebenan. Wir haben die Nähe zum Strand sehr genossen. Flugzeuge hört man ab und zu, aber daran gewöhnt man sich sehr schnell. Ein wenig feucht war es in der Wohnung, ansonsten sehr gut ausgestattet mit Sonnenschirm und Strandhandtüchern und zur Begrüßung gab es eine Flasche Wasser.

We very much enjoyed our stay here near the beach in Galé for almost two weeks and would gladly return. The apartment is spacious, well-equipped (the kitchen had many extra appliances, even a blender), and regularly cleaned. The humidity of being near the beach is managed by modern ACs in all rooms. Although there are not windows with outside views because the apartment is on a corner by the roundabout, plenty of light comes in through the two living room windows and very large window doors to the patio in both rooms. We greatly enjoyed the private patio and grilling. Some normal street noise is audible in the living room and mostly just during the day; we were not bothered by it and did not hear anything while sleeping. Praia da Galé Oeste is just across the street and a short walk on the boardwalk, which you can take for a scenic walk all the way to Armaçao de Pêra. Nuno was a very responsive and proactive host, with many recommendations for the area. Thank you!!

Formidable séjour ! Superbe endroit, très relaxant, de bons conseils et des hôtes très sympas. Studio comfortable et bien équipé. On a aimé prendre notre petit déjeuner sur la terrasse avec Pacha le chat qui venait nous voir chaque matin. Merci beaucoup 😊

The apartment was exactly as pictured—modern, clean, and comfortable with beautiful views. The location was walkable, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable. We appreciated the responsiveness of the host and the thoughtful welcome gift—it was a lovely touch! The recommendations provided were appreciated. That said, there were a couple of things that could be improved. Directions to the apartment were a bit tricky to follow, and the 6 PM check-in time felt quite late compared to my experiences over 8 years of staying in Airbnbs around the world. We were surprised to find that some necessities weren’t provided. For a 3-night stay with 4 guests, only 4 coffee pods and a few mismatched tea bags were available, which seemed more like leftovers than intentional provisions. There were also no paper towels or basic cooking staples (beyond salt and pepper). Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but a few small improvements could make the experience even better.

We really enjoyed our stay at Vitória’s place. It had everything we needed, was clean and in a great location! Would definitely stay again.

Incrível, não podia estar mais satisfeita. O Sérgio e a Maria José foram 5 estrelas, deram-nos recomendações de locais e qualquer questão era respondida com a maior brevidade. A localidade é calma e dá para ir a pé até á praia. O estúdio estava limpo e cheiroso. Recomendo sem dúvida!

O anfitrião o Sr. Pedro muito simpático e sempre disponível. A casa é muito catita com todas as comodidades necessárias no meio da natureza e com uma vista magnífica sobre a ria formosa. De salientar as atividades que se podem fazer como andar a cavalo, de bicicleta e caminhadas pela herdade. Voltaremos sem sombra de dúvida e recomendo este alojamento.

Wunderschönes Haus! Sehr sauber und stilvoll eingerichtet! Wir hatten eine tolle Woche und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus liegt etwas außerhalb von Silves mitten in der Natur. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

We spent a month in André's house and had a blast. The house is in a great location for those who seek tranquility and nature, but also close enough to shops, restaurants and beaches. It was spot-on clean and has a fireplace for those colder days. Comfortable and huge bed. André was super-responsive, friendly, and helpful. It was a great stay overall!

This home is a beautiful farm house in the area - you feel right at home when you arrive and it makes you want to move in. The property is so peaceful, calming and great for kids and outdoor meals. The location is wonderful and right in the middle of all of the beaches in the area. The hosts are incredibly helpful and communicative (the best communication I've encountered with an airbnb) - always there to respond to you if you have questions and help with anything that comes up. The house is also incredibly well equipped for multiple guests and a longer stay - the photos don't reveal just how many dishes, pots and pans, and other supplies the home has. As well, the windows have screens which is a HUGE plus that many airbnbs in the area do not have. If you are there in cooler or wetter weather, the house does get a little bit damp if you are sensitive to that but that is pretty common for most places in the area and the hosts have put things in place to help with it.

Meine Familie und ich hatten eine sehr schöne Woche in Martas Haus und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt dort. Der große Wohnbereich ist einladend zum Zusammensein und das Klavier wurde gut genutzt. Aljezur ist wenige Minuten Fahrtzeit entfernt, sowie auch 3 tolle Strände. Wir können die Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen!

I've stayed at Anabela's a few years back and loved it that I came back this year. Anabela is lovely and she has uograded her place in the kast years with apool area. I love the remote Location and the mood around her place, Its is cosy with many places to hang out in hammocks. You can BBQ, there is even a Pizza oven. I can only highly recommend this charming house.

Hard not to fall in love with this place. Everything one could dream of. It’s a very relaxed environment with two very cool humans, whom which have built a little town of their own if you don’t say! We were lucky enough to have a little tour of the place, hear about how it all started. Went horseback riding with Chris which was incredo. Swam in the pond, sat in the sauna but mostly just enjoyed the view. And hung out with the doggos. Thank you. Will definitely come again when I return to Portugal.

I had the pleasure of staying at Gaismas place for a couple of days to visit relatives in the area. The place is very nice, clean, practical and has very lovingly been created by Gaisma and her partner. It's removed from the main road and you shouldn't be afraid to use unpaved roads, but that's how it is in the whole area. The description to get there Gaisma sent through before arrival was very accurate, and I had no problem getting there. Her dogs are very friendly and curious, but also understand that no is a no. Greatly recommended.
