The apartment was great for our stay. It was beautifully decorated, very clean and well equipped. We felt at home and the beds were very comfortable. The host was very responsive to all communication. Would stay again.

We had a great time at Rune's place. Perfect location on the water, we enjoyed dinner on the dock and was awed by the amazing sunset!

Gorgeous little home on the ocean. The host was very responsive and helpful. We had one fantastic meal at the hotel restaurant. The hot tub was also a great addition. One note, the floor is a bit noisy so keep that in mind if you have small children and don’t want to wake them by walking around. Other than that, we would stay here again. Thank you!

New, modern furnished apartment. Beautiful view from the very comfortable sofa directly to the sea. Convenient that a washing machine combined with dryer is available in the annex. The journey is difficult, as the house is at the end of a short but steep gravel path, yet easy to reach. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is located near a fish factory, but when you arrive in the apartment, the magic happens: you have breakfast with your feet in the water, you enjoy the sunset on the island from the terrace, you can go on a canoe trip, available in the accommodation. The apartment is tip top, furnished with great taste, very nice. Andreas is very responsive and does everything to make us have a pleasant stay. We recommend this property!

Amazing experience! We stayed in Thorbjørn’s home where he’s lived in Bergen for 30 years. Our family of 4 used the three bedrooms on the top floor of his duplex. We had access to the entire home and were treated like family. Since we were traveling from Chicago to visit graduate programs for our son, Thorbjørn offered to help us visit the schools in Bergen. He teaches at one of the schools we visited. We are a family of music lovers and his place was filled with art, vinyl records, and books. The view from the home is an amazing bonus! He prepared coffee every morning and we cooked many meals in his fully equipped kitchen. You must take the lift up to the top of the mountain and walk through the forest. Bergen is a magical place that feels like a fairytale. Walking and public transportation is the best way in Bergen and we enjoyed our time there very much. Thorbjørn is a special human being who enjoys sharing his world with guests of Bergen. We look forward to our next trip.

What a beautiful location! The view is even better than the pictures and the neighborhood is so peaceful and lovely. This definitely gets you high above the busyness of Bergen. This is a great location if you like to hike or trail run—easy access to trailheads that get you up to Fløyen and the expansive network of trails nearby. The hot tub is really nice and a wonderful way to end the day! I would agree with other reviewers that this house is best for people who are in good shape and fully able bodied. The walk up from town is extremely steep! Taxis and Ubers are quite expensive, and we found that they had a bit of a hard time getting up there. Scooters are a good option if you get tired, but I’d recommend a little bit of experience with them because the roads are so steep! It worked perfectly for our group, but it wouldn’t be the best option if you have an injury or for elderly people. The views can’t be beat, deck and hot tub is great and there is plenty of space for 6 people.
