Historical house. 20 km to Malaga.

We had a very lovely stay at the house. The weather was not good during the period around October 28 - 31. It was the week of Rain, thunder and lightning, which became a disaster for other places in Spain-especially Valencia. The first five days (Oct 22-26) we were in the house with our 7 staff - study trip, where we visited the Alhambra, among other things. We started every day with yoga outdoors and jumped into the pool afterwards - great experience for everyone! When the family took over (week 2) and the weather changed, Ma Carmen made sure the heat was turned up and we got firewood for the fireplace. We had a very cozy time in the house with our children and grandchildren, for whom we had everything we needed from children's beds, - chairs and toys - nothing was missing! There were lovely linens and blankets for everyone. The landscape and house are hugely beautiful and almost every day we experienced the shepherd with his goats, sheep and dogs on the mountainside - very fascinating! The road up to the house requires a good car!! It's a very narrow and winding mountain road!

Casinhas da Figueira 1 (Little Houses of Figueira 1)

OleksandrRating, 5 stars21 months ago
Literally everything was great - very clean accommodation, all amenities available, the incredibly beautiful guesthouse that constantly gave the impression that we were in a wonderland. Nienke always responded quickly to all our messages and was there when we needed her. We are very grateful to her for all the recommendations and help. We really felt like we stayed at our friends' house. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars to this place, I would gladly do so. We would love to come back here again!

La Casilla de El Cortijuelo House

María Rating, 5 stars15 months ago
It has been a great choice. From the first moment, Clara has been waiting, giving us clear instructions on how to get there since the GPS was a bit confusing. The place was spotless with lots of quality touches. Clara and Paco were available throughout their stay in case we needed anything. I would repeat without hesitation.

La alminara. Small studio with charm

LucaRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Eduardo and Elena are very sweet. We only stayed here as a means to visit Seville. But it seems to be its own stand alone getaway that I regret not spending more time at. If you’re interested in ceramics ask Elena about her work she is very talented and passionate about ceramics and I picked up a few bowls from her for a good price. Overall only good things to say.

The Tack Room (Former Stables)

VivianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Mike is a very very friendly host. He personally greeted us and told us a lot about the region and the village. It was very interesting to hear. We really felt very comfortable. The landscape in the mountains is very idyllic and it is pleasantly quiet. It is possible to go hiking. We were fortunate to experience the very rare rainfall for the village. Nevertheless, next time we will be happy to arrive in the early summer. We do not recommend arriving with a deep car, as there are a few potholes and rough terrain. The wifi is not suitable for video calls, you should keep that in mind when you have to work. We highly recommend Mike and the lovingly converted tack room. A very accommodating host, a beautiful village and a loving simple place to stay invite you to short or longer stays. We are happy to have been here.

Casa Guarda, Olive Farm Stay

NatalieRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a fantastic stay at the Olive Farm. It was a beautiful location with stunning views over the national park and reservoir. The pool is very private and catches the sun all day. The apartment itself was very clean and well decorated. Breakfast each morning was a treat and it is only a short walk from the small town. We even had a tour of the olive oil production line. Thank you for a very relaxing stay!

Essence Villages El Faro Home

DavidRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fantastic accommodation. The house is located in a set of 4 casitas: 3 for rent and that of the owner in the middle. The Casita El Faro has surprised us by the large private area that has recreation for the family: large grass esplanade with sun loungers, swimming pool, barbecue and porch with table, chairs and a sofa area. A pass. The interior is small but apañado. It's a kind of well-organized shed. It has a bathroom and then a diaphanous stay with a double bed separated by a biombo of the rest of the stay: that has sofa bed, kitchen and good dining table. Very good location to be in the barrosa in just over 5 minutes by car, a Mercadona and Lidl walking very close and Chiclana and the highway 10 minutes away. It has a paddle club very majete wall with a wall. The great owner, we had a problem with the car and he gave us a hand to fix it. The only negative, but unimportant ,there were many mosquitoes. Highly recommended!!

I wish I had more than 2 nights / 3 days. what a place we found. beautiful, peaceful, you can tell how much painstaking work went into restoring the space over a long period of time. the views amazing, the hosts are super welcoming as well. I felt super relaxed after a few days. what a wonderful find. if you are in the market for a quiet getaway for a few days in the mountains, I highly recommend this place
