LAZAR Guesthouse

The Lazar guesthouse is a traditional Szekler Hungarian wooden house in 1941 in Siclod, a small Szekler Hungarian village established around 1241-1254. The house was used only a few occasions for living in it, so the house needed very little restoration work. Our guests can enjoy one of the last Transylvanian - Szekler Hungarian rural lifestyle, that truly gives a time-traveler feeling - but with the comfort of the 21st century. The renovation of a 150 years old house is an exciting challenge. The goal is to preserve the traditional architecture, but in the same time to provide the comfort of the 21st century. This beautiful wooden house is in Énlaka, a small Transylvanian village, surrounded by nature. Izgalmas feladat a mai kor igényeire formálni egy 150 éves házat. Úgy fújni le a port a régiről, hogy az ne a műanyag csillogás múló divatja felé szálljon, de túlságosan a múltba se ragadjon, giccsesen nosztalgiázva.

We refurbished this old house with a combination of modern & old design, using 100+ years old wood in furnitures, stairs, beds... and quality fabric for curtains, sofas... Most of the things in house made & designed by us all the woodwork, lamps and some pictures from 40 years ago. Every single detail in this house has it's own story, if you like I can tell later on... This house has a spacious living and kitchen area and the best thing I think the JACUZZI hot tub!!! I HOPE YOU'LL LIKE IT!

The apartment is located in an old building and gives you that feeling of actually living in an authentic old-fashioned ( original wood floor, windows and wood stove) but comfortable and cosy house in Sighișoara like they used to be. The room is spacious and has a charming air with Romanian decorations and the kitchenette has everything you need for easy cooking. This is a one bedroom flat with en suite bathroom in the heart of the city. The bedroom offers two single beds (one double bed could also be arranged), a reading & TV area and a wardrobe. The kitchen is brand new (oven, kettle, utensils, crockery, fridge, freezer, washing machine on site). The flat has its own entrance and is part of a delightful UNESCO town house which was recently restored.
