Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Arrowtown

We visit Arrowtown often but this was the first time staying in this place, and we loved it! So spacious, lots of room for our group of 4 people. The kitchen especially was extremely well-equipped and we definitely made use of it during our two week stay. It was warm and inviting and the view out to the hillside cloaked in its lovely autumn colours was the icing on the cake.

It’s a great place to spend a few days, as the views are spectacular with horses and sheep around the property! We surely enjoyed our stay at the place! Just that all the washrooms are clubbed together into a large one, with stalls for shower and toilets! It looked like a great place for hosting any event or such… Overall we did enjoy our stay thanks to the amazingly beautiful surroundings!

The house is very clean and well equipped, and it is also convenient to drive to Queenstown

Lovely stay, warm and homy cottage. Beautiful surroundings with a walking trail along the river next to house. The better equiped kitchen i have ever seen on an airbnb accomodation, pleasent and great for cooking whatever you wish.

Four of us (couples in 70s & 30s) have just enjoyed a lovely 3 nights in Tarras..facilities exactly as set out, any questions/issues promptly resolved by friendly and welcoming host..the cottage particularly warm..other highlights looking up at the night sky and the wine tasting (and buying)..yes, an unsealed road on approach but no issues if driving appropriately..

My second time here and even better than the first! Can’t beat the location—peaceful, incredible views, and minutes away from Queenstown and some great hikes. Everything you could need in house for a relaxing stay! But what really makes the WOW in WOW house is Juliet, the most amazing, friendly host! Great recommendations, wonderful to talk to, and so incredibly gracious and helpful! Thank you, Juliet! I’ll be back!

Susie and her family were fantastic hosts. From the moment we were welcomed by Susie and her offsider Rosie, it was clear we picked the perfect place to base ourselves. The space was open and private and provided our family of four with all that was needed. Communicating with Susie was a breeze and if we needed anything a swift reply was always there. From the moment we arrived, she welcomed us like family. We even (seriously) asked if she’d adopt us — and we’re 29 and 30! She’s the ultimate Kiwi mum: warm, thoughtful, and endlessly generous. She made my partner’s birthday so special with heartfelt touches we’ll never forget. Beryle went above and beyond in every single way. She was incredibly helpful in reviewing our itinerary and used her local knowledge to help us adjust our plans when the weather changed. Her advice was thoughtful, practical, and spot-on. I would use my last dying breath to recommend you stay with Beryle. This was more than a place to sleep — it was a highlight of our trip, thanks to one remarkable woman. The bed was amazing and the bathroom great! We arrived as guests, left as family. I wish I could say more, but I only have 999 characters!

We had a lovely experience staying at Rata lodge! Our only regret is that we did not book more days with Judy! Spacious, modern, clean and equipped with everything that you would require. Not to mention it was located in a tranquil location within mins drive to the central area. We loved the high ceilings and decor touches. We look forward to be back again in the future, thank you Judy!

Excellent communication, and entry instruction from Owner. Apartment was as listed, no surprises or disappointments. Short walk to supermarket/shops. We hired a vehicle. The car space provided was well positioned, and able to be locked when we were out, bonus. Side note: $10pp cash for 5min local bus to/from airport without a travel BeeCard. We stayed 2 nights in Queenstown and 3 nights with a vehicle at this AirBnB, overall I was very pleased with my choice. Recommend, Yes.

A wonderful location with stunning lake and mountain views. Pleasant and easy walks to local coffee shops and eateries. Great lakeside walk into Queenstown. Excellent accommodation bed extremely comfortable. Great communication with host who was helpful and timely in responding. Would highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

Location is great with private parking so you don’t have to worry about finding one far away and shifting luggages. The place I clean and near most of the needed amenities, beautiful surrounding and walking distance to the lake. Full function kitchen with no restriction of what are allowed to be cooked. Jane is a wonderful host ensuring our safe arrival and proactively helped us check on the status of the road closure, ensuring our safe arrival. We were greeted with a warm welcome, chocolate and a pre warmed house. :)

Incredible view as advertised. Felt like home. Place was very cozy. Perfect for big groups.
