Off Grid Converted Sugar Shack

This little rustic OFF GRID converted sugar shack is perfect for a quiet getaway. There are 2 solar panels that feed the lighting and water pump; limited, non-drinking water for the 2 sinks (summer only); and compostable toilet. There is no shower, no oven and no fridge. A cooler, an urn of drinking water and firewood are provided. The shack is on our 35 acre property, with our home 500ft down the lane. You will have access to our property to walk through the maple forest and wildflower meadow.

My unit features cozy, comfortable country character. Arnprior is situated close to both the Nation’s Capital and the eco-touristic wonders of the upper Ottawa Valley. It is a great space for those needing a local place to stay or tourists wanting access to nature. We are steps away from activities such as walking, cycling, ATVing, skiing, snowmobiling can on the nearby Algonquin Trail. We are just 30 minutes from world class downhill skiing and whitewater rafting.
