Le Cocon Berrichon

Un petit nid près de la Châtre, sur la commune de Briantes. Pas très loin de Nohant au pays de George Sand et un peu plus loin des merveilles de la Creuse. Un cocon indépendant mais sur le même terrain que la maison des propriétaires. L'escalier d'accès à la mezzanine est étroit mais muni d'un garde corps. 18th century manor near Bourges

This unique house was built at the end of the 18th century by a noble family of the Berry province. It remains in the same family. It is 10km away from Bourges, which was for a few years, during the one Hundred Years’ War the capital of France. It had one of the most impressive cathedral, listed in the world heritage list of the UNESCO, and a unique civil gothic palace, the “palais Jacques cœur. Nearby are the famously vineyards of Menetou-Salon and Sancerre.

In the countryside, just 8 km from the Saint Amand Montrond exit (A71), l'Orgerie is a charming, quiet cottage, with all amenities, heated pool and magnificent views of the grove. The pool, open from mid-April to mid-October, is shared with the owners when they are there (we respect the privacy of our guests)

You can enjoy the garden and barbecue but also the surrounding countryside with lakes (fish) and forests. A biological swimming pool is a 10-minute drive away.

This sturdy, stylish accommodation is perfect for a nice overnight stay. The gîte is equipped with all necessary amenities. If you want to use breakfast, that is possible, you can book this. Outside you can enjoy the sun terrace, with a view over the meadow where the horses graze. The gîte is in a rural location, but a short distance from a restaurant, supermarket and the highway, A71 (10 minutes).
