This place is an absolute gem. It is one of the nicest places we found in Portugal. The house is located in a small vineyard. Beds were comfortable. There’s a wood fired barbeque a great outdoor covered area and a beautiful infinity pool. Every morning we had fresh bread delivered to our doorstep. We picked lemons and oranges from around the house and had the host deliver us fruit. It was beautiful and quiet. The only negative is that we enjoy the place so much we did not visit any of the surrounding areas😊. If we had any questions, the host was response almost immediately with suggestions for places to go restaurants, markets. We had an excellent day and would return and stay there again anytime. It is definitely a 10 out of 10 definitely highly recommended.

From the moment we made contact, our hosts made us feel truly welcome. Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and warm hospitality turned our first trip to Portugal into a very special experience. The accommodation was exactly as described — a charming, traditional home set on a vast plot of beautiful land. It felt incredibly secure with two gates, and the setting allows you to enjoy complete privacy or connect with the hosts and animals as much as you like. It really does cater to what you need as a family. The house had everything we needed for cooking, and the thoughtful touch of a few essentials in the fridge on arrival was much appreciated. The bedrooms were very comfortable, and we slept well throughout our stay. Our children especially loved meeting the animals and being shown around the grounds — it was such a unique and memorable part of the holiday for them.

A great location in the countryside 45 minutes from Porto and 2 hours from Pinhão. Beautiful scenery , hiking around. Home is on a hill with amazing views of the Douro River. Beautiful outdoor space with outdoor kitchen and a small pool. Excellent for family vacation.

An exceptionally beautiful house with a very good value for money. There are four really nice double rooms, so really suitable for up to 8 people. Three bathrooms, a large and really well equipped kitchen and the highlight: huge living room and dining room. The garden is also very nicely laid out (and there will be a pool soon too!). The location is fine (pure residential area) but you can walk and cycle directly from the house very nicely. In 10-15 minutes by car by the sea and in 45 minutes in Porto. The house is very well appointed, designed with a lot of love and absolutely recommended!

Staying at Quinta dos Moinhos was truly a dream come true for us. Not only was it the perfect setting for our wedding, but the property and the views were simply unforgettable. The home is absolutely stunning and one of a kind, nestled in a peaceful and picturesque location, with breathtaking views and a rich family history. Every detail of the home is filled with character, and you can feel the care and pride that has gone into preserving the home and the surrounding nature. Diogo was an exceptional host - warm, welcoming, and incredibly responsive. He even hopped on a Facetime call so we could see the property firsthand and feel more confident about our decision! Diogo is just a genuinely kind person, and from the moment we arrived he made us feel completely at ease. His hospitality and kindness were especially meaningful during such a special time in our lives. We couldn’t ask for a more special place to celebrate, and we are already looking forward to the day we can return!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa de Vilar de Rei where we spent two weeks as a family. If you are looking for a peaceful oasis surrounded by nature and a place to completely switch off from the world, this is it. Marta and her father Daniel were the perfect hosts - responsive, helpful and kind. Our 1-year-old son had the time of his life riding Daniel's tractor, meeting the chickens, and picking fresh fruit and vegetables from the garden. The pool is shared with the other house but there is plenty of space for everyone and we had very nice neighbours during our stay. There are lots of places to sit and relax or read in the garden - day beds, swings, benches, or the veranda with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields. The garden is also full of herbs and lemon trees. The house inside is very well equipped, and the bed linen and towels are immaculate. We had a fantastic time and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this little piece of countryside heaven. Thank you Marta and Daniel!

We had a gorgeous stay at Matriz’s villa and the view from the pool area was absolutely breathtaking - better than the photos. Matriz was a lovely host who did everything he could to ensure we enjoyed the stay. Highly recommend.

Wonderful stay at Rosa's. The house is very comfortable and very well-equipped. We were well received by Rosa who is flexible, kind and very attentive with her hosts. The boys (12 and 13) feasted in the heated pool. We took advantage of the seaside to go for a run. The area is really beautiful. Thank you again Rosa for the welcome. We will come back without hesitation!

Magnificent, essence, aura. An ideal space to relax for a few days. Good for groups of 4-6 people, very close to the city and shopping centers and other spaces. Monica was super attentive at all times and was very kind.

Amazing experience and to be repeated! The house has a breathtaking view. The pool is very well located with the barbecue, making the space very pleasant. 5 star cleaning. The host was always very helpful, always available to clarify any doubts that might arise. I highly recommend this experience, as it was one of the best to date. The only thing to point out is that the temperature of the jacuzzi is not adjustable. I had a temperature of 37.5 degrees and at a certain point, it became uncomfortable.

Wow - what an amazing place! We absolutely loved our stay and would 100% recommend staying here! Thank you Teresa and Mário for such a warm welcome and for being such great hosts - we really had a fantastic time and were very sad to leave. The house itself is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean and renovated to an extremely high standard and was the perfect place for a peaceful family getaway. We stayed for almost 2 weeks with our toddler and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay (our daughter especially loved the toys, pool and trampoline in the garden!) It felt really homely and we loved spending time in the house and eating dinners out on the beautiful terrace. The house is located in a very peaceful and beautiful area and there are lots of amazing walks (and stunning waterfalls!) nearby to explore and towns, restaurants and villages all a short drive away. Thank you Teresa and Mário for such an amazing trip and we very much hope to be able to stay again!
