We've had an amazing 4 days here. It's just a perfect location and we felt at home here. The pool, the view, the garden with grill - everything was just perfect. The only 'negative' things, if you can call them negative, is that the bathroom is on a different floor than the bedrooms, and that the parking is a bit tight for a large car. We can fully recommend this place to anyone looking for a private getaway in a beautiful location.

From the moment we arrived , Alexandra welcomed our family and made us at home. The establishment is incredibly designed, unbelievable views and smells of fresh flowers. The staff was super nice and helpful, the food and wine was great ! Thank you for great family memories made ! Will be back ! Anthony

From the moment we walked in, we knew this place was something special. It has that rare, magical feeling where everything just feels right. The space was stunning—beautifully kept, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly peaceful. But the real showstopper? The views. Absolutely spectacular in every direction. We spent hours just soaking it all in. The pool was perfect—clean, refreshing, and surrounded by scenery that made it feel like our own private paradise. Every moment here felt relaxing and memorable. What really made the stay extra special was Paulo and his wonderful family. They were warm, welcoming, and always available if we had questions. They also gave us amazing local recommendations, especially for restaurants—we had some of our best meals thanks to their tips! A great location in the countryside 45 minutes from Porto and 2 hours from Pinhão. Beautiful scenery , hiking around. Home is on a hill with amazing views of the Douro River. Beautiful outdoor space with outdoor kitchen and a small pool. Excellent for family vacation.

Amazing property and view. We had a terrific time. The property worked great for our group. Best sunset! Marco and his crew were extremely responsive. Driving in the Douro Valley is not for the faint of heart. We had a ball!

Wonderful stay, weekend with friends in a very spacious, clean and very well decorated house. The outdoor space is also amazing, the pool is a very reasonable size and has a very beautiful view. They were very friendly and helpful throughout the process, definitely to be repeated!!

This was one of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever had at an Airbnb. The scenery was stunning, and the setting felt wonderfully secluded yet still just 15 minutes from the nearest supermarket (via a charming, winding road). The house was very comfortable and included a lovely pool — a perfect spot to unwind and take in the beauty around. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway.

Very cute little house on the edge of the Rio, converted into a mill, it is rustic but at the same time everything has been arranged and thought out to have a good time, with all the possible comforts (and even games available, a coffee machine etc). There is plenty of space to put yourself, although the house is very dark as it is in old walls, but the garden is simply beautiful. Between the sound of the stream that passes below the terrace, the flowers and the deckchairs to settle in, we were in paradise! Everything was clean and in place for our arrival. The house is right next to a bridge and we went for a walk around it was really nice. A very nice restaurant is 2 minutes' drive from there for a more chic atmosphere that is also enjoyable! This is a very special place with beauty everywhere you look including the architecture of the house utilising the natural materials of the region to blend into the landscape. Francisca cooked us a delicious three course meal including wine, delivered on a tray on our first night what a treat ! On Francisca’s recommendation we had a very authentic wine and food tour with Bambuti Tours we were overwhelmed with Portugal hospitality for the day and Viewed some amazing scenery, a great way to explore the valley. Casa Do Largo is situated in some of the most beautiful scenery in the valley and we enjoyed a whole day there , with a walk to the beautiful river first then a day enjoying the pool and the most comfortable home. This has been our favourite spot in Portugal and we would highly recommended you book it for at least 3 nights.

The view here is incomparable! The views over the Duoro River are amazing. It’s so close to wineries and winery tours too. There’s a supermarket close by with all you’ll need. It was hot the day we arrived and the pool overlooking the valley was pristine and oh so refreshing! Our host did a great job of communicating and made us feel right at home. I could have stayed here a lot longer!

The house was perfectly equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Our hosts were incredibly friendly and responsive, always ensuring we had a comfortable experience. The location itself was wonderful, offering stunning views and a tranquil atmosphere. We also really appreciated the ease of access to the shared pool and tennis court – we never encountered any issues using these fantastic amenities. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed staying. From the location to the stylish furnishings it was what I was looking for. Although quiet in regards to food offerings there were two local eateries and a cafe. All I needed! Being close to the river I spend mornings with coffee and evenings with a glass of wine along the waterside. A (large) supermarket is only a short 15 minute drive allowing me to use the well equipped kitchen. I don’t hesitate to recommend Casa Douro!

The stay went incredibly well. We had high expectations, but it managed to exceed them. The house is very well located and the decoration is wonderful! For me, João and Debora are impressive as hosts, they left nothing to chance and were always available to help. For sure, repeating it!

When we first saw Mario’s place and the fact it was a perfect five stars from all previous guests - it was difficult to believe. But we immediately upon arrival understood why this was a perfect 5 stars…this is an incredibly special property - from the streams, waterfalls, history as an olive press, trails, peacefulness - this place was absolutely one of a kind. All in our group agreed this place, of all the places we’ve stayed in the world, was truly truly special….if we could give more than 5 stars - we would. Mario and Cila were fantastic hosts and incredibly responsive and the amenities and nice touches throughout made us feel right at home - better than home. Such a wonderful stay.

This home is absolutely beautiful, we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Everything we could possibly need was there, from a fully equipped kitchen to thoughtful touches throughout the house and garden. It was spotless, and we especially appreciated the fresh citrus and eggs from the birds next to the property waiting for us. Carolina and her husband are exceptional hosts, warm, generous, and incredibly helpful. All their recommendations were perfect. Do note that a car is essential, and confident driving is a must in the area. The game room with the pool table was a great bonus, especially on rainy days. The nature, the views, and the garden were all stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer.

Excellent space for a few quiet days of rest, a very well-equipped house at all levels. The hosts are super accessible and have excellent communication, if you need tips on anything more local, they help! If it works out, we want to come back
