Family-friendly holiday rentals in Altamura

Very nice, clean place to stay in Ruvo. Really comfortable and close to the train. I was only there one night but it was perfect for my situation. The only drawback is wifi only works in the main room so if you want to play on your phone or ipad while you’re lying bed, you won’t have service.

Everything was fantastic, and the apartment and the location and the hosts, we had delicious gifts, the beds were very comfortable, it's cozy and has everything we needed, we will come back again if we are visiting Bari again!

Our stay was amazing. Beautiful large apartment with balcony and huge roof terrace, overlooking the sea. Very kind and helpful host. Very good location to stay. Apartment close to the airport, a few minutes from the sea and good access to the centre of Bari. We really enjoyed it! We can recommend it.

We were very well received in the house of Mrs. Tina and Mr. Vittorio, very polite, kind and helpful people. They welcomed us warmly, explained the characteristics of the apartment well, made us find the necessary for breakfast and the basic things they serve in the house. We stayed for Christmas and we were very happy to find the house adorned. The apartment is large , very comfortable in a quiet location, with ample parking. Underneath the house is the bus stop downtown, 300 meters away there is a bakery and two supermarkets,pharmacy, a tobacco bar,a grocery store. Consider that having stayed in winter, we could not enjoy the beautiful pool and garden. We recommend thisapartment to stay in Matera. Surely the next time we come to Matera , we will be happy to return to Domus Angela

We truly enjoyed our stay - the trulli was beautiful and especially the pool was amazing, perfect to swim laps in. Andrea and Agata were super hosts, going above and beyond to help us with some challenges with our rental car etc. We'd be happy to go back one day!

Could use a long list of words to describe the location and Matera. Stunning is the right one. Location is breathtaking. You feel like you are simply part of the stones.

Silvia ‘s place is great for our group because there are 2 units in the same buildings. As we are unable to communicate in Italian, there is a bit of confusion how to meet with Silvia for checkin. Silvia is very quick response and provides many good suggestions for locals visit. The place is very peaceful, nice and clean. If you want to have the parking garage, you are required to inform Silvia in advance for fee. There is some street parking for free. If you like to park on street near the rental, that could be challenge to find one. Do not be surprised if you see many trash all around in front of the building. Once, you enter the building that would be clean.

This is a great place. Just as pictured, clean, has everything you need. Situated between the train station and the old town, easy to access. Gabriele was easy to communicate with and answered any questions I had. The garden is lovely, and I appreciated the screen for the door to the outside! Bed was comfortable. The apartment is good for a couple, might be tight for 3. I would absolutely stay here again and wish I had stayed longer!

The accommodation was perfect, and Roberto was very kind and quick to respond, so I had a convenient and comfortable stay. In particular, the persimmon and fig fruits in the garden ripened very deliciously and were served as our dessert. If I go to Bari again, I'll stay there again~~

This small typical apartment is very charming and ideally located in a small courtyard set back from the passage. Communication with the host went very well, as well as the check-out and check-in procedures. The accommodation is well equipped. We loved Matera!

Luciano is awesome, the apartment is awesome, and Matera is awesome. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute! The view of the Sassi from the small balcony is something we spent hours enjoying and will never forget. It was fun to stay in a cave and yet enjoy modern amenities. Luciano left us great reading material about Matera and made excellent recommendations for food and sight seeing. We would not hesitate to stay again if we are lucky enough to come to Italy again. Thank you, Luciano, for giving us the opportunity to experience such a magical place.

We had a lovely few days at Rossella’s place, very characterful, clean and brilliantly located. Everything in the old town and port is walkable, plus swimming from the rocks opposite the door to the apartment courtyard. Rossella is very friendly and easy to communicate with, thank you!

The house was exactly as described. Amazing location, beautifully kept and Patrizia was such a great host. Would recommend this place for the perfect base to explore Matera 👍

So far, we've stayed in nearly 20 Airbnb stays, but Carmen's house was outstanding, just wonderful. It is located in a very good and peaceful place surrounded by an olive grove, the interior of the house is especially beautiful, much nicer than the pictures. Carmen was the nicest, most welcoming host we've ever had. We had an inconvenience in Bari and Carmen gave us maximum help, acted like we were family and divorced. If someone is looking for a really good place in this neighborhood, I wholeheartedly recommend Carmen's house.

This place is an absolute gem. Highly recommended. The architecture, the furnishing, the quality of the linens, the privacy, very clean and a perfectly idyllic Idaho for those seeking a classic Italian accommodation in Puglia. We stayed with 2 parents, 2 kids, and it was heaven. We will definitely return! Thank you to the hosts for being responsive and offering a pre-arrival local wine menu to choose from (at an extra fee) - lovely to have local wines available upon arrival!

This villa was even better than we imagined. Tucked away in a quiet, private spot surrounded by olive trees and nature, it had the perfect Italian charm. Everything we needed was there, and it was super clean and comfortable. Speaking of the host—responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful. Relax and enjoy the many treasures of the tower and the surroundings. Ruvo de Puglia is a pleasant and authentic town, from where you can discover Puglia. We had the pleasure to sight a fox regularly and the many sounds of nature in the orchard were enticing. We used many herbs from the garden when cooking. Alessandra provided us with information about the herbs and nature in the orchard. Alessandra was a fantastic host, very informative and responsive. Our holiday was two weeks, during which we enjoyed ourselves more and more.

We had a great stay at Carmela and her husband's. We were very well received (thank you for the focaccia and everything else, it was delicious). The villa is beautiful, lost in the middle of cherry trees, it was very relaxing. It is a good starting point to visit the surroundings. there was everything you needed, everything was clean and tidy. we had a problem with the coffee machine and it was replaced the next day (with coffee and donuts as a bonus, thank you). the tips were valuable. I recommend it 200%. A big thank you to Carmela and Francesco, great hosts 😊

We loved the Trullo, very authentic, peaceful and comfortable! The pool was fantastic, also with a barbecue area, outside seating and a vegetable garden. The place is in the countryside with the sound of cows and harvesters, and you definitely need a car to get around as there are no restaurants or shops nearby. Unfortunately we discovered with surprise that we couldn’t hire a car as we didn’t have an international drivers licence (apparently mandatory in Italy), but our hosts went the extra mile to find a solution, organising a driver for us to the surrounding areas and towns. Don’t miss the opportunity to have traditional dishes prepared by Mery and take home preserves and products made by her. It was a short but sweet stay. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to have a typical Puglian experience !

We have spent some 15 days at Vincenzo's place in mid-July. Overall, we liked it very much. Vincenzo and her wife were kind and very attentive hosts. There are two units in the small building overlooking a small garden and the pool. We rented the ground-floor apartment. It is a tastefully decorated, sweet one-room - kitchenette - bathroom unit that was equipped with whatever we need for a summer vacation. The beach umbrella and two beach towels came very handy when we went to explore the wild beaches. (We added a piece of string to the beach set to be used on rocky beaches.) The pool is shared with the family and the upstairs guests. Save for a few days when a group of guests were invited for the weekend by the family, we could usually enjoy the pool on our own. In a leaflet, Vincenzo recommended places to eat, shop food or swim in the sea. These suggestions proved to be very useful and made our stay in Puglia also an unforgettable culinary event. We would happily return.
