Sunrise Retreat - Bright 3BR Country Cottage

Our country cottage has been 100% completely renovated and is a peaceful place for a destination or a great alternative to local commercial lodging. Our cottage features 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, washer and dryer, covered porches, and a country view. Our cottage is conveniently located for our guests to enjoy the Blue Ridge Parkway, New River Trail State Park, Historic downtowns of Hillsville, Galax, and Mt. Airy, Floyd Fest, the Fiddler’s Convention, and of course, the Hillsville Flea Market.

Cabin by the River

Constructed from two old tobacco barns (with fireplace), this property provides a unique experience-connecting the past & present. The cabin is surrounded by nature’s beauty and Big Reed Island river flows only feet from the front porch. Set on 32 acres, the cabin has a large porch with rocking chairs perfect to enjoy views of the river & mountains. New addition includes an outdoor shower! Please expect no internet, a TV for DVD/CDs only and limited cell reception. Truly unplug & relax.

The Carriage House

Retreat to the country and experience simple living at its finest! Travel by gravel road to enjoy a peaceful setting with very little traffic. Second story living quarters with everything you need for a delightful stay. Kitchen is stocked with cooking/dining and coffee supplies. Farm fresh eggs available upon request (April - October only). Reclining couch, TV w/ Roku and DVDs (no cable), games, and several books to help you unwind and relax. Cot available for third guest. Now with WiFi!

Barn House

Ready for a rustic getaway? Our unique rental is located in a working horse barn and wedding venue in the peace and quiet of the country, and less than 5 minutes from I-77! Enjoy your morning coffee on our porch overlooking the rolling hills and pasture fields. Horses do not live in the barn anymore, but in our pasture surrounding the barn. You can enjoy morning or evening walks around the hay field or with a short drive get to the river or new river trail for some outdoor activities!

New River Trail Cottage

Built in 1880 by Dr. A.C. Shepherd, this historic cottage has served as a doctor’s office, a general store, and a boarding house. The cottage is located at marker p12 on the New River Trail. From the wrap around porch, you can listen to the rapids cascading into Claytor Lake. A boat launch is conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away. The cottage boasts historically preserved features as well as luxury and comfort for guests. It is the perfect location to play, relax, or both!

Waterfront Retreat on New River/Claytor Lake

Waterfront retreat on the New River at the headwaters of Claytor Lake . Great for fishing, tubing, and boating. Directly across from Allisonia boat ramp and immediately adjacent to our other listing (Cozy Waterfront Cabin). Shared use of boat ramp located on the next lot. Large flat yard is perfect for outdoor activities beside the water. Nearby access to New River Trail. Well behaved dogs are allowed with prior approval. You must keep dog leashed during visit. Property has WiFi.

Tiny House @ TinyHouseFamily

Our tiny house is beautifully appointed with everything you need to live (and work!) in luxury two miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and two miles from downtown Floyd, VA. Sleep soundly on the queen sized mattress topped with 4" memory foam. Cook your gourmet meals in the fully equipped kitchen—(we provide welcome mini loaf, organic coffee, half and half, sugar, rolled oats, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon.) Spend the evening enjoying a campfire or relax on the porch swing.

The Boat House

The Boat House is a newly remodeled studio space. It’s a unique place to stay, located on a private dead end road right on the water with beautiful views it’s 5 minutes from I 81. Perfect for Virginia Tech home sporting events. It’s also perfect for Virginia Tech and Radford University Graduations, weekend or weekly family getaway. You will have access to the dock on the property for fishing and swimming, there is available space at the dock if you have your own watercraft.

Blue Ridge Parkway, soaking tub, hot tub, internet, coffee, hiking, and a view in Fancy Gap. Great for groups. What is needed for Glamping? Clothes, food, We have everything else covered! we own a nice fishing spot 3 miles away that my guests are welcome to. Mother Earth is super comfy with plush blankets washed between each stay, comfortable seating and open the dome to enjoy that fresh mountain air! There is a propane fireplace and a minisplit for heat/ac.
