The house is modern, single-story and embraces the entire surroundings. On the slab of the house you will find a mural by the Argentine artist Tomas Facio, the work “Douro Paisagem Humana”. This mural is intended to honor the sacrifice of all the people of Douro who, with their hands, shaped the landscape of this wonderful region.

Quinta da Salgueira is located in the valley of the Pinhão River, probably the most beautiful in the entire Douro region. We have recovered the old facilities of the caretakers, and transformed them into a small house, full of charm, that we want to share with you. Here you can see and hear nature! And the silence, too! We have a swimming pool with a magnificent view, and in the evening, not infrequently, the swallows dive in fast and acrobatic flights to come drink with us. This memorable place is anything but common.
