Waterfront holiday rentals in Alexandria Bay

A great find! A hidden gem. Felt right at home. Kitchen had the bare necessities but totally worked. We like to cook so we brought our grill. The convertible couch worked out great for our daughter when she came to stay. The towels were fluffy. The shower was fabulous. The bed was super comfortable. The water was super hot and had great pressure. Loved the dock so close by. Threw a line in and had some fun. Super close to Clayton and other towns. Great space! Great host! Would love to come back soon.

Had a great time, spotless place that looked exactly like the pictures, and the view was incredible. We spend a lot of time at the river during summer months , first time in a long while that we’ve been there in the winter, the apartment was cozy and nice considering the temperatures outdoors were “cold”.

We usually stay at the hotel this time of year, but because they didn’t have a river view room we decided to book this charming place. So glad we did! We are thinking about booking again next year. Clean, spacious , excellent amenities and terrific view that can’t be beat!

spacious clean apartment with small but full kitchen, comfortable living room and comfortable king bed. a little tricky to find .. house numbers small ... and had a bit of trouble at check in .. but Barbara was very responsive to a phone call and greeted us with the key code we needed to get in. no river view as it was fall but just a short walk from house.

Very cozy, clean and comfortable apartment. It was a perfect “home away from home” as we celebrated the holiday with family nearby. The host was flexible, courteous, communicative and friendly. She made the whole experience easy and pleasant. This couldn’t have been better. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a beautiful, hidden gem in the Village of Waddington, NY. The apartment has a beautiful view of the St. Lawrence River a gorgeous patio and access to the river. It is beautifully decorated, everything inside is new, we felt we were the first to visit! Finally I can't say enough great things about our hostess, Michele, she made our stay very comfortable! Thank you, we'll be back!

Great location with good sized deck overlooking the water, walkable to everything in downtown Clayton…parking could have been a problem mid-day but otherwise ideal

My family and I went for a few days for a peaceful get away. Our goal was to sit and stare at the lake, and that we did! The house is very charming, perfect for family and friends getaway. Finbar was very kind from the beginning, and made sure to communicate with us throughout the booking process. The island is small and quiet, with the sense of community flowing when talking to the locals. Already thinking about booking it again!

Great view of the river, passing ships, and fantastic sunsets… which is what we were looking for in our few days up on the River. place was nice and cozy. wish we had more time to relax and enjoy. I’d return here again!

We had a lovely stay. Extremely clean and beautiful home with an amazing view and plenty of rooms and games to play. We would definitely stay at Parker’s again.

The house is beautiful. The appliances are brand new. We booked the house for our fishing trip. Great value, Mike and Erik were a pleasure to deal with.

Our six weeks stay at Heathers place was amazing. She is one of the most accommodating hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The house was supurb, well heated and cozy for our winter stay. The kitchen modern and well equipped. The two bedrooms we used were a little small but more than adequate for our needs and the yard spacious. We will be back to Napanee often to visit our new friend Heather. Thank you so much for making our stay so comfortable. Happy thrifting. Linda and Paul and Maizie.

From the very beginning, Tim was extremely attentive and answered all of my questions immediately. I knew what to expect as soon as I walked in. The house fit 2 families and 2 large lazy dogs without feeling cramped. Having water access was amazing, the kids fished all day while the parents enjoyed time on the patio. The kids were able to take kayaks out to fish as well. The water grass made it a little difficult to keep an eye on the kids from the patio area, but not enough to be a problem. The water is very shallow but we were able to park our rented boat (Mac's Boat Rental-super awesome to the kids) without a problem. This house is exactly what we were looking for; private, waterfront and allowed dogs heavier that 20lbs-which is difficult to find. This house was a gem and we will gladly rent again! Thanks Tim!

Michelle has always been a great host. This is our 4th year and we are never disappointed.

Third stay at Butternut Bay, and it truly does feel like a home away from home. We have such special family memories because of Butternut Bay and its owner, first Jeanne, and now Meagan who is continuing her legacy--and it really does feel like that. Meagan cares that your time at Butternut is one you will remember. We thoroughly enjoyed her sharing of the St Lawrence Seaway map online, so we were able to track and learn more about the ships that were passing, day and night!
