Chalet holiday rentals in Alaska

Great home, close enough to town that the comute wasn't bad and far enough out to enjoy tge lovely outdoor space.

Janet was a great host. Her chalet is only a few minutes to town, and close enough to walk or bike around like we did. We had everything we needed. I really appreciate the extra effort Janet made to welcome us and our dog. The beautiful view gives a perfect panorama of the Lynn Canal and surrounding mountains.

We had a great stay at the Chalet. Reading the reviews was very helpful, specifically: 1. The 5-minute uphill hike to the chalet. 2. No flushing toilet paper down the toilet; we had 2 bags in each bathroom – a "stinky" bag that we kept closed and the trash bag for regular business. 3. We brought extra garbage bags to pack out the trash and linens. 4. Bring water. There was a 5-gallon jug full of water there and we brought a 2.5 gallon jug. My family of 5 finished 7.5 gallons of water the morning we left. 5. The property is luxury for a remote island, but it certainly needs some repairs in certain areas. 6. The ATV + trailer to haul our stuff up and down was a life saver. Notes: the queen bed is pretty firm, the king bed is softer. There are sleeping masks there. Bring a washcloth if you want one. Rent kayaks for a day and paddle around the area – so beautiful! Tide pooling was amazing. Buy the Beach Combers Guide at the Homer Bookstore if you have never been before.

Would book again! The house fit our family of 8 with much room to spare! Furniture was super comfy (loved the TV/Rec room). The house is within walking distance of surprisingly lively downtown Girdwood and "next door" to a brewery (although you'd never know it from inside the beautiful property. There's a trailhead to a creek/waterfall down the street. Audrey had amazing recommendations and was super responsive and helpful.

What more could anyone ask for. Great views. All the amenities that your own house would have. Plenty of room for the two of us but would easily accommodate more.

Lodging in Yakutat is tough in the summer, and I needed 3 weeks. Was looking at another one of his rentals but it wasn't available. He was proactive and let me know he had another property that would work (this one). Mark went above and beyond in communication and answered all my questions. We had a surprise bonus. The rental is actually NICER than the pictures you see on Airbnb! Mark was incredibly accommodating to our needs, and we will 100% rent again if he'll have us back.

Our family had such a wonderful stay at Geri's place. She's a welcoming host, and the rental was very spacious and had lots of different sleeping layout options. The location is ideal - so beautiful and peaceful, and we had so much fun on the lake! We hope to return someday!

Great location slightly north of Denali. Very cozy cabin with more than enough room for a big family to manage. Helpful instructions by the host to get to the bnb. Definitely worth staying here if you’re visiting Denali

Simon's place is such a gem and Simon is a wonderful host. We love staying there and walking right up to the ski lift!

We had an incredible stay at this Airbnb in Alaska! The spectacular mountain views from the property were nothing short of breathtaking. We spent our days fishing in the beautiful lake and enjoyed canoeing, which was a highlight for all of us. The kitchen was well-equipped and perfect for cooking meals, and we loved grilling out on the patio. Evenings were spent lounging on the porch, where we were treated to amazing sightings of eagles soaring overhead. The cozy atmosphere made it the ideal getaway for our trip with three siblings and their spouses. This place truly feels like a slice of paradise! Highly recommend for anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature and enjoy quality time with loved ones. Geri was responsive host and pictures were representative of the property.

We were in the Anchorage area pre-cruise for two nights. We chose Girdwood because it is halfway to our cruise port in Whittier. The home was in a great location near restaurants and Alyeska resort. The views are great in the area! We were traveling with two adult kids (four people total). The three bedrooms were perfect for us. We didn’t get a chance to use the sauna but it is a great option to have. Overall, highly recommended!

Very beautiful home , we were there for a wedding just 5 min away very convenient for us it is spacious lots of space the windows make for very beautiful scenery in the morning. Homer its self isn’t that far away about 25 to 30 min away depends if you stop along the way and enjoy the ocean view. Overall very nice.

I cannot wait to return to this beautiful home! The town of Seward is the most gorgeous place I have ever visited! After a full day of exploring, the rental was the perfect place to come back to and relax. The home was super clean and well decorated, had all that you could need, comfortable beds and furniture as well as peaceful and gorgeous surroundings. Don’t miss out, we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay with our family. We enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb. It was clean, well stocked, comfortable beds, and lots of space. It has a great kitchen and we appreciated having 3 bathrooms. We would definitely come back to Girdwood and stay here again.

We loved every minute of our stay at Julie’s Airbnb while in town for a family wedding! The space was gorgeous, clean, and exactly as pictured. The location was perfectly walkable to the ski resort, Girdwood Brewing, the Mercantile, and trails. We hope to return soon!
