Cottage holiday rentals in Adirondack

This will now be our favorite place to stay. Cassandra and Jeremy thought of everything. The kitchen,bathrooms and every room had all the amenities that made it feel like home. We actually tried to think if anything was missing and we couldn’t think of anything. We enjoyed going into Lake Placid a few days but then also just chilled at the house since we didn’t want to leave. We can’t wait to come back again.

We had a great time! Everything was thought of in this space. We especially enjoyed the opportunity to be outdoors and the proximity to the park. I'm not sure if this jumped out in the listing, but the place is walking distance to the Children's Museum which was perfect for us, as I had take the car for a work event and left my husband and 3 year old to explore the museum, and they could easily walk home to the cottage. We had an amazing time visiting Sacandaga Lake with our family for Memorial Day Weekend. The house was in such a great location and even though it rained most of the time, the views were still incredible. Brendon provides a binder full of great information about the house as well as things to do or see in the area. We loved hanging out on the deck and cooking food on the Blackstone grill. We enjoyed the hot tub and the large firepit table! There was lots of space for everyone to enjoy and not feel like we were on top of each other. They provide lots of refrigerator/freezer space so we could really enjoy just being there and making the most of our time together as a family. We would definitely visit again and would recommend this home to anyone looking for a great getaway!

outstanding! we stayed for over a week to be close to Williamstown, which was only a 10 minute drive as promised. Beautiful quiet setting, quick responses to any questions, and a well-appointed cottage with all the necessary amenities. hope to stay here in future.

We stayed at Cora’s property for 1 month and had the best time! Her house felt so cozy and Cora and Paul were very responsive and always helped out when needed. The location is perfect - close to downtown and there are cute cafes and restaurants nearby. We will absolutely be back!

Very peaceful place to stay with beautiful scenery that relaxes your heart. Such a sweet space you feel right at home. The home was quaint, very clean, and overall comfortable. The hosts were amazing and gave plenty of recommendations and tended to any questions we had.

Definitely a cute little cabin, very close to town. Would try to go back again to do more activities without the rain. The drive there is beautiful. Would recommend for couples (or for yourself) for a little getaway.

We enjoyed our trip and stay very much! Jeremy was an amazing host! very friendly, very easy to communicate with. We brought up our dog which was not a problem with Jeremy. He was very kind, in having snacks, fresh eggs and a fridge full of things for us to have. The koi pond was beautiful. The stay was very peaceful and the view was breath taking.

Conveniently located to downtown and Lake Placid attractions. Large fenced in yard perfect for our dog. Although the location is on a somewhat busy road, the cottage is tucked away several hundred feet away in a quiet, private yard. Very unique design touches in the cottage including a vaulted ceiling with fan and comfortable king size bed.

Tonya went above expectations to make sure we had a pleasant stay. She even arranged with her neighbor to allow us space to park our boat trailer. This was a great location for boating and we had a wonderful time. Highly recommend this as the p!ace to stay. Thanks Tonya, you are a super host and we appreciated your recommendations for grocery shopping, restaurants and best boat launch. We made some special memories with our grandson and fishing on Lake Champlain. We had a great time.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Deb's cabin. We had 3 adults and a dog and the space was perfect. Deb is a great host and wonderful with communication. The cabin itself is so quaint and cute. The fire pit and patio space are wonderful to enjoy and if you love bird watching, they have a very busy feeder! House was stocked with essentials and extras - we had everything we could need. North Adams is a short drive away as well as some gorgeous parts of VT. The distillery on the Hogback Mountain overlook is must-do as well as the Wigwam Western Summit store on the Mohawk Trail - just gorgeous views. Highly recommend this listing!

Jason’s place was excellent! Exactly what we were looking for in a country getaway-cozy cabin in the woods, full of charm and close to farms, hiking and swimming. we loved listening to the records while cooking. Perfect spot, perfect vacation!

We were there for our Son's graduation at Clarkson Univ about 15 mins away. Nice house on the river. Very scenic view. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate to allow us to use the nice yard that goes down to the water, as it was too cold and soggy. The River was a nice backdrop for photos of the grad and our family. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need. Comfy beds.

We had another great stay at David and Kristine’s Lake House! The house is very cozy and has everything you need for a great vacation. We love waking up and seeing the lake. We especially enjoy the winter time seeing the snow in the frozen lake and the evergreen trees with the snow on their branches. The location is prefect, close to restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities. This was our second time at the lake house and we are hoping to make it a yearly tradition. David and Kristine are great hosts! They respond immediately to any communication and left plenty of great information inside the house. I cannot say enough good things about David, Kristine, and their Lake House!

We spent the whole week wishing we lived in this sweet little cottage all the time. Everything about it was lovely, and the place had everything we could need. Lesley was a warm and helpful host. We didn't want to leave! Thank you for the beautiful retreat.

By far the nicest place to stay in Old Forge. Equipped with everything you need then some. Always super clean, great amenities, superb spot on the water. A+++

Heathers Cottage was just we were looking for. The dock and waterside camp chairs were a great way to enjoy the peaceful Loon Lake. We did have rain during our stay and found ourself stuck indoors but this was no obstacle at all. The cottage had a book for everyone’s liking, many different board games and a TV as well, the time flew by! Can’t wait to return back to enjoy the get-a-way from city life!

Beautiful setting! Very peaceful and relaxing… just what we were looking to find. Anne described her home perfectly! We had everything we needed and more. Clear instructions were left concerning how to work appliances as well as check out details. Great location to restaurants. Would love to return someday.

Higley Flow was a perfect, relaxing venue for our family that was in the area to attend a college graduation. It is a beautiful house; it has a fabulous wraparound deck. John was very proactive in communicating, calling me a week in advance to introduce himself and explain the house. The house was very clean. We did not have a chance to enjoy the outdoor spaces due to the weather but they look great. Elderly guests or those with physical disabilities should be aware of the spiral staircase that is difficult to navigate. There is an alternate staircase outdoors, but was difficult to use during foul weather.

Hands down one of the best airbnb stays and hosts! Wanted to spend my husband’s birthday at the Buddy shack and happened to mention that to Brandon before the stay. When we checked in, baked chocolate cake, ice cream, a gift bag, a birthday card and a beautiful handwritten note were waiting for us. Above and beyond doesn’t even begin to describe this gesture! And there are thoughtful touches around the house that made us feel right at home. Communication was excellent. Felt like I was chatting with a friend. Tried two restaurants that they recommended and both could give the NYC restaurants a run for their money! The property is beautiful. Enjoyed excellent weather and quiet time by the lake. Overall, I highly recommend the Buddy Shack. You will return with wonderful memories and a full heart!

As an avid traveler, my family and I have stayed in MANY places in many locations across the East Coast. I can say I have NEVER stayed in a place I was more happy with than this cabin. I am a clean freak almost to a fault and have not, until now, walked into a place where I didn't have to immediately break out cleaning supplies, vacuum etc. Not here!! Everything was in pristine condition. And, the amenities!! You truly don't need to bring a thing but your clothing, food & water. Top of the line laundry detergent, bath and body items, paper products, books, dvds, games. Too much to list!! My kids even mentioned the great big fluffy bath towels!! Outside, the cabin is kept in as great of a condition as the inside. I could truthfully go on and on. Great area, private.... just gorgeous. We will most definitely be back in the future!! Thank you again Marty & Nancy for providing a wonderful place to unplug, relax & reconnect.
