Carr’s on Clarke is a 3 bedroom country home at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, Tumut. Ideal accomodation for a family getaway, girls weekend or couples escape. Our quaint house sleeps 6, with the option of 2 king single beds in our upstairs loft or a Super King sized bed options. Please advise for your stay. Ducted heating and cooling for all seasons. Our home is a 5 minute walk to our main shopping area and a quick stroll to the Tumut Brewery for their boutique beers and a bite to eat.

The lounge room has three long windows facing the private front garden, BBQ, outdoor setting and a lovely shady tree. Yes we have a camel ( but only one now 😞 ) My B&B is in the beautiful Goobarragandra Valley 12 kilometres from Tumut. I am ideally located at the northern end of the Snowy Mountains to explore and enjoy all the region has to offer. Our immediate surrounds offer fantastic views, great bird watching and fishing. We are able to accommodate 2 adults and a small child under 2 years of age only. If your child is older then 2 please contact us first as we have a portacot only.

All Seasons holiday home

this hidden paradise is located in town but... a spacious lawn and a beautiful creek gives an outdoorsy feel to the property. The Tumut river which is only walking distance away is great for fishing, but if your not into fishing you could enjoy a lovely walk along the river. Another bonus of this property is that being located in town means most shops are just a walk away. So with all the benefits it's hard to resist this getaway.

The location was beautiful. We wished we could have stayed longer. Anyone with mobility issues (I have a bad knee) be aware of 2 steps from lounge to hall and kitchen when constantly moving around the lovely large home. The super comfortable king bed was divine after a long day of travel.

Photos don’t do this place justice!! We had the most amazing stay at platypus cottage. The facilities were perfect, very clean and good amount of cooking/ dining equipment. The location was amazing right on the river with privacy and lots of spots to go for a swim. We would highly recommend platypus cottage and are all already talking about when we can come back! Amazing little place to stay. very rustic and unique which we both loved. loved the wood heater. very cosy and comfortable. I would definitely stay again and Jessica was extremely nice and easy to deal with. If you want a unique place to stay definitely book this place. attention to detail was amazing.
