Sara’s house was a great place to stay while visiting Sao Miguel. The house was clean, well stocked, private, peaceful, and situated above the town of Maia with beautiful views down the coastline and great sunsets! Our kids loved the pool which was great to return to after doing day trips. The beds were comfy which was a plus after lots of adventuring. It was within easy driving distance of many of the key sights. Sara is a great communicator, provides lots of helpful info, and responsive to any questions. We would recommend this place to anyone while visiting the Azores!

If you go to Sao Miguel, STAY HERE! The views alone make it totally worth it. The house is absolutely stunning, The beds were so comfortable, snacks were left for us, the house is stocked with everything you could want in a home stay but most importantly the reception from Welcome Buddy and the house owner brought this house to perfection. We had some bad luck with flights being cancelled and had to forgo part of our trip. The hosts were accommodating to our new plans in the most generous way. It was my daughters 25th birthday and they arranged a party with a chef and decorations for the most gorgeous wonderful dinner from the highest rated chef on the island. The weather was a big bummer for us but having this house and these people here made up for all of the weather. The island (at least when we went) is very humid so bring clothes that dry quickly. We will return to this house when we go back to Sao Miguel.

Maison très confortable avec beau cachet. Toutes les commodités requises. Super emplacement avec vue sur le coucher du soleil à l’avant et mer et champs à l’arrière. Belle terrasse tranquille. Eduardo nous a accueilli chaleureusement et a partagé avec nous beaucoup d’informations. Aussi de belles attentions comme des produits locaux. Bon port d’attache pour visiter Furnas et la région de Nordeste. Nous recommandons fortement.

Our stay at the property was amazing - the house is even more beautiful in person. It had all the necessary facilities and the host was extremely helpful, answered our questions very quickly and very flexible all throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend a stay here and look forward to coming back!

Our stay was great. Our hosts were very attentive and responsive. The house is exactly as described and amenities are very good. A car is recommended especially since you need to see the island!! The location is in the countryside surrounded by farms. Baby cows to visit with from the balcony. Beautiful west coast sunsets. Some noise from the street (tractor) traffic but none at night - very quiet locale. The roadway is narrow so recommend to park near #10 or around the corner on the wider roadway. This was recommended by the hosts as well. We highly recommend the accommodation and the hosts and we would stay again.

This home was absolutely immaculate—each room was beautifully appointed and impeccably clean. The outdoor area, including the pool, was equally impressive and provided a perfect setting for relaxation. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The host went above and beyond by providing a few thoughtful essentials such as butter, cheese, bread, and milk—an unexpected and much-appreciated gesture. Instructions for the property were clear, and communication was prompt and helpful throughout. Set in a beautifully historic area, this modern accommodation offered both comfort and charm. We are grateful for a truly enjoyable experience—thank you!

We had a wonderful stay at this charming tiny house in Santo Antonio. The place was spotless, with everything super clean and well-maintained. Check-in was smooth and easy, and we felt welcomed from the very beginning. The pool area is a real highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special mention for the breakfast: such a thoughtful and delicious touch that made our mornings even better. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and cozy stay in the area!

We loved staying in this little cottage by the sea. The days watching the waves break on the shore, and the nights curled up by the fire with a film - it was truly a beautiful place. Parking is easy and free, and there's a choice of two local restaurants (note one of them is currently closed for renovation, but the other one has great food albeit with no sea view). The property itself is perfect for a romantic getaway to the sea. Hearing the waves rip onto the sand at night was a special experience, and there's a waterfall in walking distance too. I would also strongly recommend the municipal hiking trail which we tried on a whim, but ended up being one of the best hikes we did in the Azores - it starts right next to the house! Most importantly, I need to shout out to Joao and his team. We had an issue with the bathroom and he fixed it within 24h, despite it being a public holiday in Portugal that day. We really appreciated how hard he worked to get it all sorted so quickly. Kudos!
