Experience this private stylish new two bedroom cottage nestled in a spacious park like setting. King and Queen beds, chef's kitchen, and comfy lounges. Relax by the fire with expansive views across rolling pasture to Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve. Located a short drive from Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale and all the restaurants, shops, wineries with bush walks and bike tracks nearby.
Your neighbours will be the local mob of kangaroos or newborn calves in the paddock adjacent to Laurel Cottage.

The space
The space

Located in the Southern Highlands area just off the Old Hume Highway. We are minutes away from fabulous restaurants and shopping of Bowral, Berrima, Moss Vale and the local Wineries and Wedding venues.
Fully self contained with indoor /outdoor areas to relax and enjoy your time away. Slide open the doors and enjoy a BBQ on the deck or a drink at sunset. Or cook up a storm in the the fully equipped kitchen. You will be toasty warm over the cooler evenings with wood heater, airconditioning and underfloor heating in bathroom. Wonderfully light and airy in the warmer months.
Within 10 minute walk to the start of the Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve trail or try one of the many walking trails in the area, we are happy to assist with advice and local information. A must to visit is the village of Berrima a 10 minute drive from Laurel Cottage.
Grab the matching Laurel Cottage bikes and cycle to the coffee shops or Restaurants in Mittagong.

Guest access
The cottage is set apart from the family home with a private grass area in front of the cottage. Parking is available for a maximum of two(2) cars only, please note there is no on-street kerbside parking. Access to cottage is level and direct. We are 5 minutes drive to both Mittagong and Bowral railway stations, where taxi's are available.

Other things to note
The Cottage is brand new with a comfortable and tastefully presented interior. It is fully equipped with modern facilities.
Grace and Gwen, a couple of friendly West Highland terriers also call the property home, they like a tickle behind the ear.

There is a wash up area for your mountain bike post ride.

Guests have access to the whole Cottage and the gardens.

Neighbourhood highlights

Mittagong train station is a 5 minute taxi ride , as well as the town village with Tourist Information Centre, Highlands Hub shopping Centre with Woolworths, butcher, chemist, hairdresser, bakery etc.
Within a 30 minute drive you have the lovely villages of the Southern Highlands of Mittagong, Bowral, Moss vale, Exeter and Bundanoon to name a few. There is a village market in one of the villages every weekend.
Local attractions include The Gib (Mount Gibraltar) lookout, Lake Alexandra Reserve, The Welby mountain bike tracks and local walking tracks like the Box vale track.
Some great restaurants/ dining experiences in a 10 minute radius include Bendooley Estate, restaurant, wedding venue and winery. Or stay in and enjoy breakfast on the deck with some fine pastries from the local award winning bakery, Gumnut Patisserie.

For a coffee either make your own using the Cottage's pod machine or visit RCC and enjoy a great coffee and cinnamon scroll or eggs benedict.
For a good beer on a Sunday try a tasting board at the Eden Brewery or a pizza and mead at the Artimis winery.
