Felons Corner by Van Diemen Rise.
90 acres of dark forest, lofty views and rolling meadows overshadowed by a brooding mountain-scape.
Out of the tree-line, a boutique cabin is worked into the fabric of the wilderness and walks the dangerous divide between hunting hideaway, industrial chic and unapologetic luxury.

The space
The game’s afoot.
The stage is set and it’s low-light and high-end.
Everything here is raw; from the aged timber floors to the Icelandic sheepskins. Up-cycled, exposed beams and windows from the existing dwelling have been carefully restored and curated to frame an intimate interior, with all corners considered.
Expansive French doors seduce the tree canopy right into the living space. Swing them wide in summer and enjoy the twilight cacophony of birdsong or keep the Tasmanian winter chill at bay within the circle of firelight from the wood-fire.
Exposed beams frame a lofty ceiling where, up a flight of bespoke stairs the mezzanine awaits to embrace you. Sink into leather, sip from crystal and laze in buttery-soft linen. Here, intimate encounters are encouraged and sleep ins are mandatory.
A fully equipped kitchen allows for the culinarily inspired and leads onto the large deck and outdoor dining area.
The east wing of the cabin houses a full laundry, bathroom with claw-foot bath and a lavishly appointed entertainment room where, we promise TV will be the last thing on your mind.
The light-filled master bedroom is a private space with French doors opening onto a view of the rolling grounds. Wake with the morning light and a pour-over coffee or spend the AM hours gently ensconced in linen and a good book.
Take a short stroll from the house to crest the top of the hill and get high on the panorama. Views of the Gog Range, Mount Claude and of course, stunning centrepiece of it all the gothic grey, mist hugged heights of Mount Roland.
End the evening with a cheeky goodnight in the outdoor deck-bath and watch the forest come darkly alive under a night sky un-adulterated by city lights.
Your kitchen amenities include large oven, gas stove top, Japanese pour-over kettle, toaster, full refrigerator (with freezer), herbs and spices, olive oil, pots, pans, oven trays and dishes.
100% French flax linen
Sleeping Duck mattresses
Koala pillows
Split system heat pumps
Bespoke wood-heater
Samsung Smart TV
Games and books
Bluetooth speaker
Yoga mats, boards and cushions
Guest access
Guests enjoy complete access and privacy to the entire property during their stay. The whole place is yours so feel free to explore and relax.
The lane and driveway leading to your stay is quite steep in places, but kept in excellent condition and is suitable for any kind of vehicle.
Access to the house does require one, shallow step plus further steps and a flight of stairs internally so guests with mobility requirements may not find this listing suitable.
Please note that the storage shed area and contents are for personal and grounds maintenance use only and are not to be accessed by guests.

We highly recommend Hill Street Grocer in Devonport (30min drive) or Latrobe (30min drive) for a gorgeous array of gourmet groceries to enjoy during your stay.
