Extra spacious

Guests love this home’s spaciousness for a comfortable stay.
A perfect great value couples beach retreat with large upper deck & private rooftop all to yourselves! Ideally situated, this older style apartment is part of a gated complex nestled in the dunes of Marcus and Castaway Beach next to David Low Way (with some daytime traffic noise).

With limited public access to the beach, you'll feel like you have your own private beach. This spacious, older style split-level apartment will provide a great beach front escape.

The space
This apartment is part of a complex so you have access to a swimming pool with a BBQ area, and also use of the tennis court.

It's a quiet complex with most homes kept as private holiday houses. It's split-level, so even though it's only one bedroom, you get a feeling of space. The main level is open plan, with a kitchen and a combined lounge and dining area with a spacious balcony.

Up the stairs is the bedroom with high vaulted ceilings and a small balcony. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower in bathtub and a separate toilet.

Head up to the rooftop and you will find a BBQ with seating under a sunshade and the Jacuzzi. It is a very private area , and has Sea views – ideal for whale-watching in season or the colourful spectacle of kite surfers moving up and down the beach on a windy day.

There is also a washing machine and dryer and a single lock-up garage with internal access. (The height clearance under the garage door is 2.0m, accommodating most larger vehicles without roof racks, but worth checking if the board is on top!)

Access to Marcus Beach is direct along a short pathway from the complex. It's one of the few pockets of land that is beachside with no roads to cross before you hit the sand.

The bike path following the coast from Noosa to Peregian Beach is also accessed from this path. It's nice to be out of the hustle and bustle of Noosa Main Beach and the crowds but close enough to go shopping, explore and dine.

This is a place to simply make you feel comfortably at home by the beach. Please let us know if you have further questions. We would love to welcome you to our little piece of paradise.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire house, garage and the rooftop area and jacuzzi (rooftop only accessible for our guests and exclusive to the apartment)

Other things to note
Make sure you return the key to the Lock Box after arrival. There is nothing worse than being locked out!!

It's on the second level so there are stairs - being split-level, there are also stairs to the jacuzzi. Not ideal for mobility-limited guests.

You can hear some traffic from the road (which I'm tuned out to and it doesn't bother most guests) so please be aware in case this is something that may affect you :)

In holiday season, it does get busy. Please see location picture with a star on exact location.

There is aircon in the main bedroom however the kitchen/living area only has a fan.

I ask that guests check the jacuzzi upon arrival so that if temperature needs adjusting or there are any issues, we can attend to it immediately as it can take time to cool/heat.

Please note that we are not within walking distance to any shops or cafes - easy to use the buses or Uber to get around.

As we are based in Sydney, we rely on feedback from guests and our cleaner as to what needs replacing/extra cleaning/attention. If you find anything not quite right, please let us know and we will always do our best to get it rectified ASAP. Your comfort and enjoyment during your stay is paramount to us as experienced hosts.

While all care is taken, sometimes we have tight turnarounds and things can go unnoticed. If any necessary pantry items or staples (such as BBQ gas) need replacing, if you let us know first, we are always happy to reimburse for the purchase of new items. Just keep the receipt and send on to us.

If you have an additional overnight guest you would like us to consider, please let us know beforehand. The couch in the living area is a clic-clac and can convert to a "bed". You will need to supply additional linens. Disclaimer - it's not overly comfortable!!

Neighbourhood highlights

The beach out the front will be almost your own. It doesn't draw the crowds like Noosa main beach where you have to search for a spot in the summer. There’s oodles of space for the kids to play on the beach, or for you to choose a gutter to fish, jog as far as you wish, or to go for a rejuvenating swim. (Note: the beach out front is not patrolled by Surf Lifesavers. Those unfamiliar with the surf should consider the short drive, or leisurely stroll, to Peregian or Sunshine Beach. Both are patrolled in season.) Noosa Junction is less than a 10min drive, with a Coles store, banks, variety of smaller shops and eateries, and a cinema complex. Hastings Street or Noosaville riverside are only another 5 mins further on. Heading south, Peregian village is only 4 mins away and has plenty of great little cafes, shops and boutiques and recently a large IGA has opened. There are plenty of great places to eat out on the Sunshine Coast. If you want good food at a reasonable price with fantastic ocean views, you really can't go past the Sunshine Beach Surf Club (currently under renovation) or the one at Noosa Main Beach (which is always bustling). There are lots of eateries along Noosa River and you'll find pretty much every cuisine. There are some cute spots for brekky at Peregian or the Sunshine Beach "hub". For more upmarket dining, there are some high-end eateries (and some that are Michelin Star) along Hastings St. Bistro C is one of my faves and is right on the ocean front. Sails is a good choice if you're out to impress! For the adventurous, you can hire Jet Ski's along Noosa River, go horse riding on the beach around Lake Wyeba or learn to surf on Noosa's main beach. There is also sky-diving, whale watching, diving, stand-up paddle boarding, the famous Australia Zoo or you can drive a 4wd on the sand at Rainbow Beach. Further afield the hinterland is worth exploring, particularly Eumundi Markets (Sat morning) which are a popular spot (get there early) and the area around Maleny. Amongst Noosa hinterlands rolling valleys, you will find cafes, galleries, day spas, historic pubs and boutique vineyards. There are some great walking and bike trails to explore. A definite must is a walk around the headland of the Noosa National Park with it's stunning walkways and picturesque, secluded bays. If visiting from overseas, it's the best spot for a potential Koala sighting (which if there have been any that day, are recorded on a board by the kiosk). If possible, it's best to visit during the week as weekends can be tricky to find parking.
